Okay, my to-do list from like three weeks ago:

Quote:
Renee's To-Do List

1. Figure out this dang cake topper: DONE! I found a personalized cake topper on Etsy, and it is being made as we speak, woohoo!

2. Set up appointment for alterations DONE! My dress is being altered and will be ready in three weeks

3. Lose 2 pounds not done sad.gif

4. Make final payment to Tiffany DONE! the wedding is paid for, woohoo!!

5. Take first dance lesson with FI not done

6. Figure out music selection for dinner started this...

7. Start making plans for AHR (I am drawing a blank on this one right now...) not done, still drawing a blank

8. Get flower girl dress ordered DONE! the flower girl's mom bought a dress last week--was originally an Easter dress, but I think it will be perfect!

9. Decorate fans and bubbles for the ceremony with ribbonsthe fans are decorated! I have the ribbons for the bubbles, I just haven't tied them on yet

10. Get bridesmaid's dress altered if necessary not done--really need to get this done ASAP

New To-Do List!

1. Lose two more pounds!

2. Tie ribbons on bubbles

3. Finish programs for ceremony

4. Finish menus for reception

5. Make labels for playing cards

6. Work on music selection for ceremony and reception

This past weekend was wedding central! I printed off and made labels for all my first aid kits, and have made labels for the chapstick & playing cards for the OOT bags. My mom and I got all the OOT bag contents organized, and am just waiting on: the stadium cups (they are being delivered this week!), decorating chapsticks & playing cards, and still need to buy puzzle books, the medicine for if you get sick down there (can't think of the name right now!) and aloe vera (any recommendations on where to get this? I am having a hard time tracking some down...).

These past few months have been rough. I'm not trying to sound selfish in any way, but with one of my BM's fiance's passing away, and my other BM just informed me she is getting a divorce, I have felt so guilty about being happy for my own wedding. I just wasn't feeling excited about it, but my mom has been keeping me pumped about it. Both of my BM have tried to help, but I feel too guilty to talk about my wedding with them. That is why you girls are here, lol.

Renee - Nice to have you back! Missed you :)

Thanks for your list, I've added it!

Wow that's rough, well first of all you're not being selfish at all. You have some BM's that are going through some very rough times and it is what it is, theres nothing you can do or change about it. Just focus on you and your FI and be grateful that you have a man you love and is there and you're getting married and everyone will have an amazing time!

I understand not wanting to talk to them about it and if I were you I'd be doing the same thing. Just talk to your champions, the people that are excited and can't wait to go.

It must feel amazing getting so much done over the weekend! I did last night and it felt great!

LOL! How on earth are you getting all of this stuff down?!!

LOL! I had to buy a whole other set of luggage and am now borrowing more luggage. My MOH is only bringing one bag between her husband and herself so I'm giving them a few and giving a few to another bridesmaid.

You should see my livingroom, it's a nightmare in the making.

I'm also bringing down all my flowers including centerpieces! I am going to be bringing back a LOT of empty luggage, haha!

Oh wow Renee that is tough on you. You want to be surrounded by people happy that you are making such a great decision and excited for your wedding. I hope these girls' own issues are not affecting their excitement for your wedding. What they are both going through must be awful - and then that does take away from your support net - but I think your Mom is right in keeping you pumped up.

Please try not to feel guilty - this is YOUR ONE TIME to shine - and you really deserve it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
