Katie-- I'm so happy you had an awesome hen night!!!! Good for you staying positive! I can't wait to see pics of your hair!

Lindz-- You're absolutely right about the weather! The forecast has already change significantly from when I first looked a few days ago. From 70% rain to 30% scattered showers. Everyone on here has been so positive about this and made me feel a whole lot better. Keep the positive thoughts rollin' ladies! at least for a few more days!!!

AmyB-- Wow 18 pounds is AMAZING!!!! I hope you are so proud of yourself!!

Crista, oh my gosh!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, you seem to be handling it all very, very well! I'm impressed b/c you really seem to have it together. I'm thrilled to hear that the resort is working with you and easing your anxiety. This can't be the first time this has happened in their business, LOL. You definitely need to keep us posted on how this all plays out. BTW, the Azul properties are known for their amazing baby services. They provide all kinds of things like changing tables, cribs (well, your little guy/gal may be too young for a crib, but it wouldn't surprise me if they have bassinets).

YAY!!!!smile02.gif

Ladies, I had the most surreal moment over the weekend. My mom casually told me that she took my SIL's mother to the airport. Her mother is watching my brother's son while they're in Mexico. And I thought, "Oh my gosh, it's all started!!! The first person has moved as a result of our wedding (Ohio to Colorado)! The balls have started to roll and there's no turning back now!" It was a strange moment to think that all this hard work is finally being set in motion.

We leave in 1.5 days. YAY!!!!!!!

On another note, I got my nails done this morning and it's the first time I've ever had acrylic nails. Man, is it hard to type!!! It's taking me forever b/c I keep screwing up, LOL!

OMG how thrilling!! I am close to getting details done but currently in a serious frenzy... like not sleeping and a maniac. My BFF & MOH actually offered to clean my house and another offered to do my laundry, how SAD is that?!

I can't wait Wendy, you're going to have the best time ever and laugh at all our worries upon your return, walking back on Cloud 9!

I am really depressed by this news today. And I'm getting mad at my FI for being so anti a big wedding that we ended up doing a DW. I wish I weren't such a damn pushover!!!

Oh don't you worry, your guests still have a lot of time to book!! Your wedding is still 7 months away--easy peasy! Don't let it get you down. Your DW wedding will be better than anything you would have had here. Your memories will be better, your guests' memories will be better...it's a win-win!

I feel very sure I'll come back and report nothing but fabulous news for you AB brides and hopefully I can help put you at ease :)

I knew that % would change. And that 30% is probably one freaking rouge cloud that'll last 10 mins max.

Thank you - I am super proud of myself and FI is as well. I still have 7 # left I want to lose in the next 6 weeks before I leave, but I feel OK now in my own skin so if I plateau here, it would not be bad. Thats a good place to be :)

Wow that is amazing Wendy. I cant believe you leave on Wednesday!!! I am so excited for you. When is your last day of work? Oh and the acrylics.... Don't try to pick at anything b/c its freaking impossible. Itches are the worst, you have to use a pen cap or something similar to get any satisfaction :)

Sara, I am telling you, you will not regret the small destination affair. And if closer to the date you feel like its too small or a lot of people can't go (which I dont think will be the case, but in the event...), you can have a VERY lax AHR when you return from Mexico and get the BIG wedding feel - without your FI objecting. You can even do the invites via Evite and say "no gifts" at the bottom. There is nothing wrong celebrating with people who wanted to be there for you but couldn't - and tell FI thats what all the guests who couldn't make it wanted. And in the end you'll actually save money doing both compared to one big wedding in PA.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
