OMG yes!! you have sooo got to try and come over to my hotel and see us!! FI will love to meet you - I talk about all you girls on here haha i think sometimes he thinks i've got imaginary friends!

we'll be on the net while we're over there so once we both know what's going on when, we can sort out the most convenient time to meet!

oh cool, it's going to be so great! one of the DW brides at my resort will be there at the same time as me too so I get to meet her as well!! woooo

*****************

ok excitement and laughter over...I'm on a major downer.

My LBD that I ordered for my hen night on Saturday, arrived today....great! except they'd packed the wrong dress and it's not the one I ordered. I thought 'ok stay calm, think about it' and thought I'll reorder it and pay next day delivery and take it up with them afterwards...but NO!!!!!!!!!!! they no longer have any more in my size sad.gif only bigger

I'M FUMING and soooo upset. I seriously would be crying right now if I stopped myself thinking about the fact I'd then be crying over a dress.

I've complained to them but all they've done is apologise and given me a discount code for 10% off my next order - if it's made before 5/5/10! how nice of them. NOT!

arrrggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh h

Saturday I am mega busy and already going to be rushing from pillar to post. FI has said he'll come with me after work tomorrow and see what we can find. but I could so do without the stress right now...and I LOVED that dress sad.gif

AND! (lol) fuming too that a 'friend' has booked a holiday leaving tomorrow and will miss my hen night - but that's not the problem. she didn't even tell me she wasn't coming. so I thought 'ok probably really excited about the holiday and slipped her mind'. so I commented on one of her status's on f/b and just said 'so I take it that means you're not coming Saturday?!' and rather than a message or comment back apologising and saying it just slipped her mind etc (which I would have been totally fine with), she just DELETED it!!!!!!!!!! not a word, message, comment or text of her. just deleted and ignored. i know it's not the end of the world, but we have booked a table in a restaurant and I didn't think a bit of common courtesy would have been too much to ask.

So yeah, great night. blaaahhhhhhhhh censored.gif mad.gif

Just wanted to take a minute to vent.

I am 6 months and 2 days out from my wedding and so I decided to take diet/exercise more seriously. (Ha....that's an understatement considering I've been eating whatever I want since before I had my son over 8 months ago!) Anyway, I have about 12 lbs to go. Which I think is very doable with 6 months ahead.

I started working out two days ago and even went to Weight Watchers yesterday.

I was doing well until I got re-ended on my way home from work last night. Slammed into the guy in front of me, totally wrecked the front of my car and banged up my knee.

I was so upset today I ate 2 donuts!!! There goes the diet.

I figured I'd start again when I am officially 6 months out. So Saturday. Hopefully my knee is fine so I can work out.

Ah, got to love the idiot drivers in Los Angeles. Like my fiance said to me yesterday...Los Angeles always has a way to remind you that it's not all just sunshine. This city is a beast.

Ok. Done venting. Back to everything love! :) Thanks for listening.

Katie - oh no!!! What a beotch... seriously, I can't believe she did that, how completely rude. Is she coming to your wedding? I can't get over the fact that people are so totally disrespectful sometimes and don't even apologize or take responsibility or just communicate back to you when you call them out on their BS.

As for the dress, is it too big? Can you get it quickly altered maybehuh.gif

Amanda - Yikes that sucks... I know what you mean, I deal with a-hole drivers here every day, it feels like they are quite literally the WORST and stupidest drivers in the freaking country.

I say make sure your knee is TOTALLY better before you work out, just to be sage and 12lbs in 6 months so so doable it's not even funny. You could easily do that in 6 months so don't rush it and workout until you're all better.

I hope you girls feel better grouphug.gif

Kiara is my WC too, I love her, she's been great through this whole process but I know what you mean, as of late it's far between the responses she sends me. She told me they finally hired another coordinator and she was training them and in the same week her computer died like 3 times. So just know that, she's such a sweetheart! I agree with the emails, evidence! You better believe I'm printing out a grip of 'em to bring with :)
Phew! That is good to hear!

Thanks!! I decided on a Sparkling White "Swangria" Sangria
Yum! I love it!

Thanks Taylor! $13.83 sounds a LOT more reasonable than $100!!

Dont worry about the 2 donuts Amanda - t1 jelly filled donut is actually better for you total calories wise than a bagel with cream cheese! All that matters is one lapse does not turn into a full day and then a week of bad behaviour. If you are dieting, then one lapse just means you wont lose any in the next day or so. Keep up the good work otherwise!

Amy - Yes that is what I am doing - 6 meals a day - I actaully hate it b/c I feel like I am constantly eating at my desk. And I sit next to a 5'11" french girl who is probably 120 pounds and does not eat. So heres me with my apple snack, then lunch,. the celeery and almond butter.... hahah Oh well, I feel great so I will keep it up.

Also, FI told me that he really could see a difference after we had seen eachtother for 3 weeks so that was relaly motivating :)

Have a great weekend girls - and Katie - can you wear what they sent you anyways? If not, have a good friend go pick something up for you!!!

And the friend who deleted your comment - all i can say is that I hate technology when it leads to problems like this. I would rather speak to someone and get them to tell me whats going on rather than read into a deleted comment. Same with emails - you can always read them differently and its hard to get someone's tone correct over writing.

Just a thought - not that what she did is not F'ed up cuz it totally - just to reserve total judgment until you can ask her why she didn't tell you personally. Maybe she has a surprise planned for you over the weekend even though she can't be there?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
