so, yesterday I went for my final fitting (after last time they took the dress in 2 inches).....was supposed to bring it home with me yesterday but it needs to be taken in more! I knew I'd lost weight but I swear I haven't lost enough to have it taken in again! so, I haven't got it yet! Had to have an argument with them in the shop as they don't do alterations at weekends or in the evenings and I refused outright to have to book ANOTHER day off work just to have another alteration that they should have got right the first time! (I feel bad enough that I'll be off work for 3 weeks without keep booking days off for everything else!) so I got them to agree to stay late one night and I've got to rush home from work next Wednesday and get there for 7.30pm! fingers crossed, this is the last one!

Also took my wedding shoes and my wedding jewellary (necklace and earrings) and it all works so well together, I'm really pleased. I decided on the white/ivory wedding shoes...mainly because you can't see them even when I walk lol but I am wearing the pink ones on Saturday for my hen night and I will take them to Mexico just in case I change my mind!

I have got my hair trial with my hair dresser on Saturday (so I can take pictures and take it to the resort). Found a couple of tiaras I liked yesterday so bought 2 and will take them with me to see which looks best with however I have my hair. Also bought a bracelet that really compliments my necklace and earrings :)

I'm so excited about my hen night! I've been so busy with wedding stuff I haven't seen enough of my girlfriends and with all our money going on the wedding, I haven't been able to afford to go out so this is a much needed night all round. and I'm excited as my theme is pink and black! - love it!! photos I'm sure will be up on facebook!
I know that's frustrating about your dress, but also GREAT NEWS!!!!!! GO YOU for losing all that weight!!

CANNOT wait to see your Hen Night pics...take some pics if your shoes too...and I recommend you taking your pink shoes to Mexico...you can wear them for the reception!!!

I hope she can get her stuff straitened in this post-9/11 world. Its not as easy as it once was.

Hey skinny, you're dieting? That dress is never going to fit you you know! How much have they taken in already?! Anything specific you are doing? I have a Lose 10 pounds in 21 days diet a friend gave me from Oxygen mag. Its bascially "clean eating" - I am at the end of Day 1 and it was OK. No drinks for 20 more days.... hmmmmmmQUOTE]

I know, we're trying every day, I'm trying to still be positive!

HAHA, so not true, it's totally gonna fit. I am going for my 2nd fitting on Monday. I know I can get smaller, I just want to be bikini ready!

I am doing a strict calorie based diet now and last week I dropped 2lbs after 7 days of it so it definitely works. It's really hard for me to lose weight too and keep in mine I have NOT stopped drinking, just cut back and eat less to squeeze in some booze. That sounds terrible I know! It's low carb and around 1,500 cals with a workout, 1,200 - 1,300 without.

My make up - I like this look with shimmery brown/bronze outlining the eyes:

For my hair I like:

b/c my dress is one strapped like this so the side pony should be nice - plus I have been growing out this mop forever - dont want to ruin it with a bun!

Love your ideas!!! I think you will look gorgous with the makeup and side ponytail style.

I have been growing out my hair for 2 years and planned to have it up and now you're making me realize I should show it off! Although... my hair is stick straight and won't curl to save my life.

Yes!!! My FI always says, it's not just black or white... and I say, um, yes it is! Grey areas are never understood or a good place to be.

Thats a good idea - to eat more cals the day you work out - this one tells me to dial back the training. I still want to be able to do my 55 min spinning classes so might have to add a good snack to make sure I can do them.

Yes! Show off your long hair - although having an up do with long hair is really nice too b/c there is so much hair to work with.

I wanted to do a low messy bun but then the side pony seems really in and I love it with a one strapped gown.

Are you having a third fitting toohuh.gif

I love that idea! I always wear lame shows though b/c of my flat feet that suck - but everyone else's shoes are always so much fun!

Yeah just eat small snacks frequently, that will zoom your metabolism and help you burn fast quickly. I say watch your cals, still work out just make healthier choices.

I was thinking a low side bun style since I know it will be very windy I didn't want to deal with hair moving. The front of my hair will be parted to the side with a wave almost finger roll type of thing maybe or a boufant. I have no clue.

I have a 3rd fitting scheduled if they need to take it in more but I have a feeling I won't need it since my hip bones won't shrink :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
