I will! Just remind me right before I go :) I have like 30 different sized natural colored paper lanterns & 7 strands of white frosted string lights I'm bringing that I would hate to go to waste. They may charge you to set it up but at least you didn't have to bring it!

That's terrible! I'd resend her the email she sent you that says $50 per sheet and demand she stick to her original quote. Doing that in the sales world is a big no no.

I'm not sleeping great either sad.gif me and FI have been at each others throats over the weekend and whilst things are generally ok, I think the stress of the wedding is getting to us both....wondered if maybe a common thing this close to the wedding?

FI is mega, mega stressed about money so that doesn't help.

The wedding seems to have lost all feeling and emotion and like it's just one big stress! I know it's just right now it feels like that, and it will get better, but as the time gets closer and money gets tighter and tighter, this is becoming less fun sad.gif

Sorry to moan....I know you guys will/can cheer me up! QUOTE]

Katie I'm going through the EXACT same thing as you. The stress is getting to me and FI as well adn the fights are a little more frequent and intense and always about something dumb.

People keep telling me, "You must be SO excited!" and my reply typically is... not quite yet, no. :) Seriously, I'm not having fun anymore, I broke down in tears last week after a frustrating attempt to write our ceremony crying "I DON'T WANT TO DO THIS WEDDING STUFF ANYMORE!!" That made him laugh at least...

At least most of you didn't wakeup to an earthquake to the new 4am (still feels like 3am) this morning and then layed awake in bed until my alarm went off at 5am.

I actually brought all my own sand ceremony stuff and didn't get charged anything for them speaking.

I brought my own sand, and glass containers. They spoke about a sand ceremony, it was actually like 2 sentences. And I was charged nothing. There was a $45 charge on my invoice for sand ceremony, but it got refunded to me . They told me it was a charge if they provide you with sand lol. And since I brought my own, I got my money back :)

Hey Crista Lee :)
Buying pasminas was the best thing I did! I actually bought them in bulk. I went in on a bride group order from this website and got them for $3 each!!! I got one for every woman that was attending my wedding in mexico. And I ended up having them tied around my beach chairs(for colored bows) so It doubled as a favor and bows! I got 3 different colors, pink, silver and charcol gray. Then the guest were directed to take one when It was over. Worked out fantastic! It gets cold at night there and the guest kept coming up to me saying what an awesome idea that was!

I am so livid - they are trying to blame it all on Francisco who is no longer the WC at the hotel. We went on a site visit and they are trying to say that becuase he didn't leave any notes in "our file", etc. that we cannot have this space - um, no. I am livid. My TA is trying to work this out, but I may need to do it myself.

Azul Beach brides - do any of you have a print out of the reception options before they recently changed them? Since I didn't think they would screw with me, I never thought to print out the options that were available back in November! I am supposed to get married in 6 weeks - yes, 36 days. are you freaking kidding me?!

The reception options were Blue - inside and out - Wave Lounge - and I think Chill was one of the options, as well as the Beach.

How many guests are you having? The outdoor restaurant by Chill is supposed to be super nice where Bree had her wedding.

Did you ever have your locations in writing from Karisma?

The supervisor is Fabio. Call the wedding department and ask for him. I don't have his contact details. Sorry.

Thanks! We selected Chill (where Bree had her wedding), in part, because we heard about Bree's wedding when we were there for a site visit (which was totally random!) and it was a smaller, private area. They are now saying that they cannot close the restaurant for us (and it's a Tuesday night). I made sure that I got everything in writing with them, but I never realized that I did not get the options for the private event from them - and it never occurred to me to ask. The sheet from Tiffany listing it as our venue apparently wasn't a "confirmation" in their eyes. Hopefully I'll be able to get it all straightened out, but it's pretty ridiculous.

I hope they don't try to do the same thing to you!

Hello Ladies!!!

I have returned a married woman!!! The wedding was fabulous.

All I can say to everyone is that the day goes by so fast and all of the details we worry about before don't even matter.

I didn't care that I didn't have programs, place settings or alot of decorations.

The whole day seems like a dream....I can't belive it's overfrown.gif

My groom was sooooo stressed out the few days before the wedding, it was very nice to be able to RELAX after all of the planning.

The resort is very beautiful, and the wedding ceremony was perfect. The weather was great and the site was beautiful. The ramp we walk down is a bit steep, one of my bm's almost wiped out.

I paid $150 for 2 pieces of colored fabric, the gazebo is ugly without it. Tiffany told me that up tp 4 pieces are available for $300. The on site girl (Elena) said only 2 pieces are available. Don't pay for more than 2 pieces!!!

The evening does get cold!!! tell everyone to pack a jacket. We had to relocate to the ballroom because it was so cold (guests were going to rooms to warm up) I wish I knew that I would have asked for the restaurant instead of the plaza

My photog was AMAZING!!!!!! He was very cool (helped carry one of our friends to his room our first night!!LOL)

I definatley recomend him! Jon Rennie check out his website.

Here are just a few of the shots

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
