After Tiffany quoted me 50/sht of fabric the prices went up and now it is 150/sht of colored fabric and 100/sht of white fabric, this is insane!

They will not let you set anything up yourself, so if you bring fabric you need to give it to them and pay them to set it up.

Anything they can do to get more money out of us, don't they care how much business we are bringing their hotel?! Seriously.

I'm not sleeping great either sad.gif me and FI have been at each others throats over the weekend and whilst things are generally ok, I think the stress of the wedding is getting to us both....wondered if maybe a common thing this close to the wedding?

FI is mega, mega stressed about money so that doesn't help.

The wedding seems to have lost all feeling and emotion and like it's just one big stress! I know it's just right now it feels like that, and it will get better, but as the time gets closer and money gets tighter and tighter, this is becoming less fun sad.gif

Sorry to moan....I know you guys will/can cheer me up!

You have to provide your own sand ceremony set. The $40 is for actually performing the ceremony. They included the sand.

SOOOO glad to know I'm not the only one! I have started having wedding nightmares. The other night, I had forgotten to get my dress altered and it slid down during the ceremony, and last night, we forgot to book a reception place so it was at a greasy hamburger place smile27.gif

Katie, I totally understand what you're going through! My FI and I have been bickering a lot more recently. The stress of everything I think has finally gotten to both of us. Right now, all we need is to fly down to Mexico and lay on the warm beach with a cold drink in hand!

PLEASE HELP! Tiffany is pulling the same BS with me as she did with Wendy/Taylor regarding the location of our private event/reception. AGH! Does anyone have the number/name of her supervisor?

I am so livid - they are trying to blame it all on Francisco who is no longer the WC at the hotel. We went on a site visit and they are trying to say that becuase he didn't leave any notes in "our file", etc. that we cannot have this space - um, no. I am livid. My TA is trying to work this out, but I may need to do it myself.

Azul Beach brides - do any of you have a print out of the reception options before they recently changed them? Since I didn't think they would screw with me, I never thought to print out the options that were available back in November! I am supposed to get married in 6 weeks - yes, 36 days. are you freaking kidding me?!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
