You are the MOTY Ames!

I have a small blue pin that was my grandmothers which I will pin to the inside of my dress. 2 of my friends borrowed it from me too for their dresses - blue, borrowed, and old! I am borrowing my best friend's veil - not sure I'll walk down the aisle with it - but want one for pictures at least. I love the pix of the bride & groom kissing under the veil.

Renee - way to go on Insanity!!!!!!! Looks like you found what works for you!
OMG, that would be such a fun bachelorette party!! All of us meeting, drinking, wearing ugly bridesmaids dresses and you getting sloshed in your ugly wedding gown, LOL! friday.gif

Wahooo!! How exciting!

I love the simplist jewelry, you IN the dress is definitely the shining star. I can't wait to see your dress, sounds similar to mine (silk and form fitting)

I am wearing a pearl necklace, pearl earrings or these cool vintage inspired jeweled earrings I found. I have a tulle cage veil and a feather fascinator with a vintage broach on it which I will wear either with the veil or after the ceremony for the reception. My garter is flat lace with cut out flourishment <---- not in fact a real word... with a similar toss garter. It was so expensive though I almost don't want to toss it, LOL! My shoes are ivory, peeptoe slingback and I'm have a feather clip made for the top.

So I will be more decorated than I ever have been :)
Yeah, Etsy is dangerous. I haven't bought decoration for my hair yet but there's a beautiful ivory pearl hair vine on there that I want. I'm just trying to convince myself it's worth the $$.

I can't attach a pic of my dress but if you're curious, you can find it on Paloma Blanca's website. Style #3912. I just love it to death! I originally thought I wanted a more flowy/beachy-type dress...until I tried this one on. And, I got the sample which fit like a tee and was 50% off smile159.gif

You are going to be so gorgeous!! You've thought of everything down to the smallest detail. I can't wait to see the pics of you and your vintage wedding! I wish I had it in me to plan details like that. I don't blame you not wanting to toss your garter! It sounds exquisite. We're not doing the garter toss since our guests are pretty much family and two friends, one of which is married. So that would be weird...

Taylor, your dress is GORGEOUS!!!! I think you totally need to spend the money on the hair piece you love--with a beautiful dress like that, you need something snazzy for the hair! And awesome job getting the sample dress for half the price; makes it even better! smile29.gif

You're dress is stunning! I said out loud "wow!" it's so classic and pretty. 50% doesn't hurt either!

Thank you! Shoot, I had enough time, over 2 years of planning gives you the time to think of everything... twice. I have a lot to sell and I've flown right over budget, let's just put it this way. I'm a fan of little details so that's all I've been focusing on!

A-GREED!!! I think you should get something for your hair if you love it, it's your wedding, it only happens once and if you like it, go for it. You could always sell it later.

Amy, how do I vote for you??

Sorry I've not been replying to much - only managed to log on at work quickly today and been a tad distracted.... My nan fell put her front door last night and we spent all of Wednesday night in a & e with her - she's broken her cheek bone and broken her eye socket sad.gif I was sooo upset - that's my nana. I went work today but left early and spent all evening round at hers - me and the other grandchildren took shifts throughout the day! I'm home now (it's 11pm here) but I'm shattered after last night and today and am off to bed.

Night all. Xx

Hi Girls!

We did our site inspection last weekend...it was fabulous! While we were there we went through the Exotic Travelers presentation. Has anyone on this thread joined this vacation club? If so, were there any extra discounts/benefits on wedding/private event packages?

During our visit we took lots of pics and notes, so if anyone has questions let me know!

Jaime

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
