Today is the day I officially start tanning! I'm excited b/c I've been waiting for this day for months. Not so much the tanning part but b/c it means we leave for Mexico in exactly 5 weeks!!
Has anyone tried the spray on tan yet. My FI niece just did it for a dance and it looked good on her. WOW 5 weeks to go! Time will go so fast.

Hey Taylor! My mom bought me a really pretty aquamarine ring to wear for my something blue. Maybe you could wear a pretty piece of blue jewelry?

I am SOOOO excited--I have lost 8 pounds in the past 2 months, and I tried on my wedding dress tonight and it fit perfectly!! It was a tad snug when I got it 3 months ago, but now I feel like all that darn Insanity has paid off! I still want to lose a few more pounds so I look my best, but the pressure isn't nearly so bad! monkey.gif

We didn't decide on AS until late January and our STD which was sent out the beginning of February. We already have 20+ booked but honestly expect up to 60 more. AHHH. So much for a small wedding.

I wasn't planning to send the formal invite out until May. Am I waiting too long?

I must do everything backwards because I bought my dress before everything else. I went to a sample store just for fun and they had my dream dress for 70% off and it only needs minor alterations. I had to take it.

So far I've been trying to get my theme together but so much is dependant on budget. And the more responses I get from Tiffany my WC, the less I think I can afford. Sigh. So I start from the drawing board again.

I do know that I want the wedding to have a vintage romance feel. I found a great lace aisle runner at save-on-crafts.com that I am thinking about getting. I was thinking of hanging antique picture frames from the wood beams over the Sky Deck. Thinking about doing the decorations for the Sky Deck myself as well. I found baby's breath that's been died deep purple and some other that looks shiney gold/silver. Thinking about getting antique planter and filling with the dyed flowers, placing them every other row.

Haven't decided on brides maids dresses yet. I would really love to find something on sale at anthropologie or a place like that.(Again, think vintage romance.) But I haven't seen anything I liked yet.

Oh boy. I think that I am in trouble. Not even sure what to do next. Guess I should google a wedding planning timeline and hop to it. :)
Don't feel behind! A few of us are weeks or just 2 months away.

Sending out your invites in May is plenty of times!

I too bought my dress first, it took 8 months to make so I'm glad I did!

I too am having a vintage inspired theme. I love the pictures idea on the Sky Deck!

Anthropologie is my Kryptonite... I went to the one in NY in Rockefeller center and seriously wracked up my my credit card bill!

Good luck, it will come to you, just keep looking and you'll know when it happens :)

I had a friend do my engagement photos - he came to our engagement party 30 mins early and we took them then. Nothing too fancy, but I wanted something done. Could you add photos to an event or something so its not like they are going too far out of their way? I think friends like to offer their craft like that. Like I feel good offering insurance advice to my friends & family (not as cool as pix obviously) b/c thats what I do for work...
Aww Amy!! I would be MORE than happy to grab drinks and chat with you in Bermuda... if I was a millionaire, we'd all be meeting Amy in Bermuda for a little bride weekend grouphug.gif

I'm struggling with this one. I'm not wearing a garter so I can't fall back on that one. My dress is too form-fitting and it would show through the material (silk).
I have so many accidental something blue's it's hilarious. My first garter had something stitched inside. I fell in love with another garter which is actually flat on my leg because I have a form fitting silk dress too. Then my mother gave me a handkerchief that was my grandmothers, her name is Antoinette so it's got a light blue "A" hand embroidered on it. Then I just got my shoes and I look at them and they have light blue bottoms on them and I didn't even notice it when I first tried them on.

The only thing I don't have is something borrowed... hmmm

OMG! That's amazing!!! I never weight myself, I wish I knew if things were changing, LOL!

How do you like Insanity? I didn't see any huge difference from it, weight lifting is what does it for me oddly enough.

I'm cheating, but only because I want to - my favourite perfume is Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue....and if I spray it, I am effectively wearing it, so that's my something blue!

Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
