Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

hey lovely ladies :)

I am on cloud 9 at the moment so thought I'd share and hopefully pick anyone up who's feeling a little down!

I've had a super productive weekend and had some good news too....So, here's what we got done this weekend:

1. ordered wedding cake for AHR

2. FINALLY booked hotel for night of AHR (and yes, I ended up doing that, not FI!)

3. bought white flower baskets for the 2 flowergirls (for Mexico)

4. ordered rose petals for the flowergirls

5. bought fake flowers to go on our AHR wedding cake

5. ordered my bouquet, BM bouquet, 4 buttonholes and 2 corsages for AHR (we're doing a whole sit down meal thing again and photos etc)

6. ordered flower spray thing (whatever it's called! lol) for our top table at our AHR

7. bought our suntan cream today (1/2 price some, and the rest was buy 1 get one free!)

8. bought ring cushion for page boy

9. FI has ordered his clothes for TTD

10. called and made another appt for FI suit fitting as he's been working out since his first fitting and has put on 2 stone in muscle! (he didn't believe me that he could just wait to his final fitting to tell them!)

11. decided what to have as our favours at AHR (we're not doing any in Mexico) so now I just have to do them!

phew! and the good news...on my hotels thread one of the girls on there who's getting married a couple of weeks before hand has very very kindly offered to leave some of her stuff behind and has said she'll leave it for me :) so now we will actually have some things to use for decorations and maybe centre pieces!!!!!!! how brilliant is that?!

happy happy happy!!

hope you girls are all happy too! woop woop!!

That sounds gorgeous. Your theme is like an antique beach theme, right? I am looking for something romantic and simple, like Mama Mia - esque - but not Mama Mia. I am hoping this comes to me.

Meghan, I was supposed to have these beautiful orange and pink flowers, but I am second guessing it. I want to discover a theme all of a sudden. I have until April 9th (my 45 day mark - lol).

Amanda, considering the DJs at the hotels are doing weddings all the time, I am assuming they are good. Considering Riveria Maya is the most popular spot for Destination weddings, I just think the DJ will do a good job. I am still going to bring a list of suggested songs and a flash drive just in case wink.gif

Thanks AmyB :) My theme is vintage inspired birds and trees. Classic black and white wedding with sage green and fuschia is in the flowers only for a little extra color. Lots of candles, white lights and lanterns. Very clean and simple.

My theme was building this whole time and it wasn't until about 3 months ago I finally realized it :)

We wrote our ceremony this weekend too! Ugh, so glad to be mostly done with that.

Happy to do so Amy! I wish I could delegate... since I'm such a control freak I do everything. I have all my girls and random friends begging me to let them help me and they are all so excited to do stuff for me and craft things. I have major issues, I want everything to be a surprise to everyone so I don't let anyone help me. Seriously, FI will be surprised by stuff on our wedding day. I really irritate myself...

Meghan... I love how your wedding is still 4 months out and you're further along that most of us wink.gif I'm envious, I wish everything was done!

I always feel so much better having things done early...I'm not a last minute type person with anything. I am still stuck on centerpieces though! I wanted to do something like what are you doing...floating candles in a tall clear cylinder vase with flowers or something underneath the candle, but I can not find vases like the ones I want anywhere! Any suggestions?

We worked on ours this weekend, too! Mostly we just got the outline done and decided on which parts to include and which to skip. And we delegated who's going to write which section. My brother is marrying us so he's going to write some of it for us.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
