Hello Ladies

I was wondering did anyone have it rain during their wedding and have to use the inside rooms? I saw what they looked like when I went down there, but they weren't decorated for a wedding so if you had pictures of that I would love to see. Thanks

kodonne3 - it rained on my wedding day and my beach wedding was cancelled. I didn't have the option of the ball room because the other wedding that day was using it, so they wanted to stick us in the hallway of building 3. Luckily my photogs jumped in and said no way in hell! We ended up having it on the terrace of zocalo, but it only worked because we were such a small group. So sorry, I don't have pics of the decorated rooms sad.gif

You're right... I should ask. I am mad at my TA at the moment so maybe I'll wait a day wink.gif

I booked January of 2009... that's my only fear, that was 3 months after they opened.

At least that's what I say now...

every time I tick something off I remember 2 or 3 other things I need to do that I hadn't even thought of before!! every week my to-do list just keeps getting bigger and I can't get them ticked off quick enough!

haha I asked my FI to book a hotel room for the night of our AHR - about 2 months ago and it is yet to be done. his latest excuse is that he can't find any he likes so I have to decide and just pick one....I said to him I'd like just one thing to be a surprise out of the whole wedding and it would be nice if he booked the hotel as a surprise thing for me.....arrrggggghhhhh!!! this is why women always end up planning the weddings! men never get anything done! lol

Just had a 45 min convo with travel agent who almost cried. Turns out my friend was a little harsher than she admitted to: demanding who her boss was and who owned her company.... Lovely...... Don't you just love wedding stress ??
OMG I love that theme!! that's going to look soooo funny!!

and I still don't get all this wedding crazy stress stuff....I thought it was us brides that were supposed to crack up, not the guests!!!!! lol

Hey girls!! I have FINALLY caught up on all the posts I missed over the past week. Just to fill you in a little...

I got a promotion for work aka Field Sales Trainer aka more work, same pay, more travel, etc etc. I am SUPER excited but I honestly do not know how I am going to fit everything. I have NOT even THOUGHT about the wedding in 2 weeks. I am SO SO SO behind. I am actually on the plane now, as we speak. but anyways, that's why I have been MIA...Does anyone have any advice on how to manage all of this? AND work out?? YIKES!!!!

I am so sorry that you girls have been having drama with the hotel. Just remember, every bride goes through it and ends up having the most fabulous wedding ever. I think every resort has it's flaws and definitely has communication problems. It seems a lot of things get lost in the shuffle. Just remember to bring ALL of your documents, computer, etc to show the onsite coordinator everything that had been negotiated. I am glad things are going more smoothly now. Does anyone need FABIO's contact info? I have it if you do (even though I realize I am about a week too late!) ha.

Congrats to all the new brides and welcome!!!!!!!!!!

A few people have asked me (friends) and I've been totally honest... this also I know is different with everyone the importance and whatnot. My wedding is also 90% friends, hardly any family and no parents. Not by my choice of course but it's just how it happened.

I'm having a legal day AFTER Mexico in Vegas baby! My wedding party already knows about this because they are all invited. We are renting a giant suite in Vegas and inviting our people to come down and all crash in the suite with us and we will have an Elvis ceremony, then go directly out to party with our friends! Can't wait :)
I stole your idea. FI and I are flying out the Wednesday after the wedding to go get married in VEGAS!! AAHHH I CANNOT wait!!! Definitely gonna do the whole cheesy wedding and party our faces off. I think our 2 best friends are gonna with us as well!foshizzle.bmp

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
