I'm sure there will be many frustrations down the road, but I'm a really laid-back bride, so I'm just going to try to remember to enjoy my day. I want a big, fun, sassy party for all my friends and family.

Anyway, hello from a newbie in Washington State!! I have a feeling I'll be here lots cheesy.gif

hey lovely ladies :)

I didnt have enough time earlier to post a longer message, but, I had my first dress fitting today!! All went well...they're having to take the bodice in 2 inches (so 1" from either side) and also take the hem up (coz I'm so short! lol).

Didn't find a tiara though - the shop was really low on stock after not reordering following selling loads at a wedding fayre.

Also I haven't decided on whether to have a veil or not. Originally I thought I did, and I'm debating not having one now. Just can't decide.

Necklace and earring set bought for the wedding day too :)

Shoes found...and they're grogeous. Now I just need to try and make a decision about whether I leave them as they are (cream/ivory) or if I get them dyed fushia pink to match my bouquet and BM dress! I really do want the pink, but the shoes look so pretty as they are I'm scared they won't look as good after!

But all in all, a very productive day off work! bunny_4.gif

Hope you're all doing well :)

Good on you Katie! You have the outfit ready to go! Can they show you a sample shoe dyed pink so you can see what the final product will look like? I wanted a veil for pictures so I might just bring my BM's from her wedding as a photo prop and not for the wedding. More photo props - I am also bringing a Terrible Towel since FI and I love the steelers and I think our college flags (mini ones). I just think they'll be fun pictures for later. Are you guys bringing down your invitations too? I read somewhere to bring everything down so the photog can capture them.

Amy, when is your dress going to be ready?

I don't get to try mine on til April 2nd - I am so excited!

I keep trying to figure out if I should bring an invite with me... I sent my photog an invite to my wedding, LOL!

They told me mid-Feb or earlier, then I called mid-Feb and they said a week, and then I called last week and then they said any day now, probably next week (which is now this week) so I have no clue. I'm getting ancy!

I like your props idea! That's so cute :) I have props for my reception for people to have fun with =)

So I am 5 sleeps away from our trip.... I am so excited I don't know what to do with myself!!

I am 1 pound away from my GOAL weight....and now I don;t want to eat ANYTHING!!!

I have 2 more days of work and then I can start getting myself ready...

friday is waxing, waxing and more waxing, cleaning, and I am having a spa evening at a friends place. Two girls I worked with (spa business) are coming over and we are haviing wine and body exfoliate/hydrate and facials!! I need to calm down for a few hours.

Sat I am going with my mom for pedicures...and then I should be ready.

We are getting legally married on Sat (nobody knows) so I get 2 weddings. I am really excited to have a ceremony with only our parents, maybe I won't cry as much at the second onesmile159.gif

I also got a outfit for my Bd shoot, a white corset and "i do" hanky panky undies. Hot with a veil I think....

smile125.gif sorry he's cute and new....

It's really hard to sleep now but I am off to bed... good night ladies!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
