I sent them pics of two absolutely gorgeous but simple cakes to get them priced, and they came back being twice as expensive as their own cakes. Ridiculous! Imo, they were simpler than the ones they offer but one thing for sure about Karisma, they really stick you with a high price tag if you deviate from what they offer!
No, I believe we actually have the same exact options. My tactic is just telling them what I want (flavor and whatnot) and if they say it can't be done, fine but I got the total green light when I told them hazelnut with strawberries, couldn't believe it!

Also... I got reaaaaaaaallly lucky because the cake I absolutely LOVE was a cake done for a previous couple at AS that I saw in a Elizabeth Medina slideshow from there. So I sent them the cake that they had already done and had them make tweaks to it. My WC also has been successfully negotiating prices down for me. She got my cake cheaper and my chairs for almost half of what they quoted her... I don't know how she does it but she is the absolute BEST! We've become really good friends too in the last year, I'm sure that helps :)

You're so right! I think everyone has SOMETHING they dislike about their resort. One of my "must haves" was a liquor dispenser and a Jacuzzi in each room (obviously that was at the bottom of my list, but still). WOW, have another, huh? shots.gif haha I have no clue why...I just thought that was really cool. My resort does not have that great of a balcony, which I am super bummed about. I love nice balconies!!!!

Um, are you referring to Tiffany? Surely not.

AmyB, I am doing mainly just the workout. My FI and I have been eating way better, but we're not strictly following the diet. I have not had any soda, fast food, or ice cream for three weeks--this is a new record for me, lol! Also, Expedia has rooms open at AB the weekend of your wedding--I'm sure someone can get those rooms for you!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
