I am happy to say that with only 13 days until we go,I am strangely calm and organized.
Did i Say 13 dayshuh.gif??OMG
My workouts are going really great and I can't wait to go get married.

I am so sorry to hear about your trouble Amy.I hope you get it sorted soon. So TA's are crap. Mine was good but a bit laid back for my taste. I drove her nuts i'm sure. But it all got done.

I need help on a signature drink girls.......I want something not too sweet and easy to drink. Maybe blue....
13 days!!!! ahhhh so exciting!!

Ok blue drinks usually equal sweet! Could you do champagne and use food coloring to make it blue. OR any drink for that matter and use food coloring to make it blue. Or you could do a simply champagne with blueberries to garnish it. If you wanted pink, my friend did champagne and that pomegranate liquor. It was too cute!

I'm a new member and I just booked my wedding for 10.10.10 at Azul Sensatori. It looks great but reviews I've read online are mixed and I am starting to get nervous.

Has anyone already had their wedding there? Or even visited?

What did you think about the food? We're expecting 80 guests so I'm planning the private reception. I just want to make sure the qaulity and taste of food justifies the cost.

Please let me know!

Thanks!

Welcome!!! AHHHH I love your date. I wanted that date too but my friends freaked out about getting married during football season. sad.gif I would take Trip Advisor with a grain of salt. Try not to just notice the bad reviews...also look at the good reviews. There are tons of them! EVERYONE has different opinions about things. You picked AS for a reason so just stick to your gut! And trust me, I was the WORST when it came to picking a resort. I changed my mind EVERYDAY and still have doubts at times. I think that's just natural! COngrats!!!

10.10.10 is an awesome date!!! When I was a kid, I was convinced I was going to get married on 8.8.8! haha nope - 2 years later.

I would seriously not listen to trip advisor. Everyone has a different perspective. Plus, the longer Sensatori stays open, the better the reviews are.

Azul beach is giving me the RUN AROUND!!!! Obviously the 10 rooms Shandi released went to someone else. They keep telling me there was a waiting list and the rooms went there and they are over sold so blah blah blah....

No other time are they sold out and there are tons of other weekends where there are multiple weddings and rooms are still avaialble. they will not let me get on awaiting list - howvere they say her 10 rooms are booked to people on the waiting list. I am soooooo annoyed! 40+ rooms disappeared in a week. I think there is either a famous/rich person getting married there or someone who works at Karisma who has the hook up internally.

I am going to keep trying, but it looks like a lost cause :-(

Cake question-Is everyone getting a cake? I know it is a tradition and would be really nice but it doesn't sound like the cake is good and will be a waste of money. We are getting the Mexican Flan with our meal so I am just curious what everyone is doing. If you are getting the cake, what flavor are you ordering?

Cake for some reason is always my favorite thing (even though I don't like to eat it) I always like to get creative with it and I love the look of it. I know, waste of money but I just love cakes. I am getting a 3 tier hazelnut cake with fresh strawberries sliced in the center. Decorated like a tree and I'm bringing real touch green orchids to decorate it. :)

I got the cake that came with my package. I didn't spend any extra money on it. I got the basic vanilla. If its important to you, get it! If not, then maybe spend the money elsewhere. That's what it ultimately comes down to. We all have different preferences and priorities. IMO there's really no wrong in anyone's choices, otherwise we'd all end up having the exact same wedding lol!

I am still having mix reviews but I think I would be this way regardless of what resort I picked. The hard thing with picking a resort you can please everyone. I tried to pick a resort that was good for the people I knew would be coming like our immediate family. Other people are always a maybe so don;t base it on them. MY FI and I feel in love with the Sky Wedding and one of my friends went to AB in November for a wedding and gave it great reviews. Especially the food. If you are going with the TA from Karisma, you will get 20% off your private reception.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
