Amybermuda, that is sooo annoying about the rooms and them saying they are sold out!! What are you going to do?

Aw Amy, sounds like you had a great valentines! Sounds like a gorgeous gift!
You are TINY!!!!!! My friend is 4'11 and wears a size 3 shoe too! I am always looking for cute shoes in her size. I am 5'7, but wear a size 6 shoe. Isn't that so weird?!?!?

Thanks girls :) I'm going to look through them and I've found an american seller on ebay who ships in 30 days so will have a look there too - feeling much better with all the options now :) thank you!

I got a lot accomplished with my mum. We found a tiara! I think I might start wearing it every day and I would be awesome! LOL

I have my something borrowed. My mum is trusting me with her pearls and earrings. They are fab! I was going to try to make my own with fresh water pearls from a bead store but this is just that much more special now.

We also hit a Michael's looking for idea's for centre pieces. Still not sure what I want to do here.

Then I was crazy enough to get a few of my tattoo's touched up - OUCH!!!

I can pretty much sum this weekend up to Tiara's & Tattoo's! Now that's a classy bride! LOL
sounds like a producive weekend Crista!love the 'Tiara's and Tattoos' label!!

Size 5's sometimes fit, but not usually. I looked all over. I was at the point where I wasn't going to be picky at all....as long as they were ivory, or white satin so I could dye them, I would be fine with them. I found one pair of shoes, size 5 that fit but they were $670! I think they were Jimmy Choos (sp?). Finally got told to go to Celebrations in Toronto and they actually had a couple pairs that fit! I will take a photo of them and post a picture. They are ivory and have a huge heel (I never wear heels cuz I have a bad back and can't usually find heels to fit) but I talked to a shoe maker and he said he can probably reduce the heel, so I might do that. They were $250, so a little expensive, but I dont think I could have found anything cheaper that would have fit. I'm so relieved I finally found some!!
Well done on finding shoes! sounds like it was about time and you found a good buy...can't wait for the pics!!

Saturday morning finished my invites and got them out in the mail, people should receive them this week, except for the people in Australia and Shanghai of course :)

I had another person book and my MOH's mom (my second mom) tell me that she is going to make it which made my night since my own mother isn't coming, I told her she can be my mom and she is very happy to do so. I'm so overwhelmed with the love and caring people have shown me, my other MOH's dad offered to fly down there just for my wedding and surprise me there to walk me down the aisle and fly back right after the wedding (very busy guy) but it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. My aunt told me she bought me two sets of real pearls from Shanghai, one white, one black. She received pearls from my Uncle the night before her wedding and thought she would do the same for me. My mom also gave me a set of real pearls, over 80 years old that were passed down to her. I'm rolling in pearls now! LOL!

Sunday, FI woke me up at 8am to give me a white gold locket on a necklace with a diamond in it and his face from one of our engagement photos inside. It's the sweetest thing ever. That night we had a mojito party where pretty much the entire time was spent talking about my wedding (not instigated by me in the slightest) and everyone is brimming with excitement, makes me feel amazing. Had a little drunken bonding moment with the BM, we're very alike so we butt heads a lot. A few mojitos and some real talk did the trick.

Now today I'm recovering and trying to get my head clear so I can buckle down on wedding stuff.
awwww, I want your weekend! sounded adorable :) and I'm so glad everyone is pulling together for you - no less than you deserve girl. enjoy xx

You're weekend/v-day sounds like SO much fun. We had a crazy mojito party last night that included us dancing on my MOH's coffee table to Journey singing our lungs out.

My workouts are going really great and I can't wait to go get married.

I am so sorry to hear about your trouble Amy.I hope you get it sorted soon. So TA's are crap. Mine was good but a bit laid back for my taste. I drove her nuts i'm sure. But it all got done.

13 days!!! How exciting :) Is Insanity treating you right? I'm back full time on P90X

Blue drink and not too sweet don't typically go hand in hand. Blue Curacao is probably what you'll want to use. I suggest finding a drink recipe and making it yourself and then adjust the amount of sweetness yourself and forward on the recipe, that's what I did for both my ceremony welcome drink and signature reception drink.

Lolo - 13 days!!!!! wow thats awesome. I am so excited for you.

The hotel is saying they are so sold out that even if these 10 rooms get released (I guess they are not released yet), that they will not put them in general inventory b/c they are so sold out. Its nuts. I think Karisma was closed today for Presidents Day. I am going to call again tomorrow morning and see what happens.

Ahhhww Lindz you have such a romantic fiancee! I love it. Your weekend sounds like fun couple stuff and fun partying too - perfect!

Amy - You'll have to tell us about the comments you get re your invites! I love the retro stamps, etc. They are so creative.

Hope you feel better Katie.

xx

Our signature drink is called a Boulder Sunset. I'm going from memory, but it's something like:

champagne or white wine
vodka
OJ
sprite
grenadine

The parts are added in layers with grenadine being the last. Hence the sunset look. Served in a champagne flute.

It's not blue, but if it's something you like, PM me and I'll send you the specific recipe!

Can you not contact the bride directly that had these rooms and go through her TA? Or have you tried this already? Since Karisma divies up rooms to the various TAs out there, you'd have to go through that specific TA to get them. If they go unused, they probably won't make it back into Karisma's pool until just before your date. It's crazy how they do the rooms!

Hey ladies,

I just wondering did you all go with packages with LOMAS or did you find that picking and choosing different options from their menu was better. Which way is more cost effective? Also, the reception! what locations are the best at sensatori and did you have to resereve them early? What type of receptions is everyone having? Sorry I have soooo many questions and not sure what to do next now that the date and time is set!! HELP!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
