Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

My stupid travel agent did not want to book a black of rooms. She said we could get better deals individually. Stupid. I saw a deal listed for 20% Azul Beach for my dates on the Travel Impressions website - she said thats only for new bookings. I was told if the prices go down, we can get a price match. Well - now we cant I guess? She is just a horrible group TA.

So, Amy F helped me (thank you Amy!!!!!!) - other travel agents or online companies like Expedia have access to rooms still. Its just Karisma Reservations and my specific tour operator who have their rooms sold out. So people can still get rooms, just for more money.

Also, this is good for everyone else here to know - room blocks must be used or released 90 days in advance before the event. So by the end of February, there should be more rooms released.

Just horrible decision I made using my Travel Agent - that is what this all works out to be.

I am about to call her and describe my "disappointment" in her services. I just have to get my bullet points ready so I can scare her into getting her act together.

That's horrible. Hopefully something can get resolved. Don't you hate that you need to do all the work for other people what they need to do. Good Luck.

Hello Ladies,

My name is Leslie and I am now a future azul bride. We have confirmed our date at azul sensatori for feb. 19th, 2011. The hardest decision for me was picking the date and place. Thanks to your blogs I feel prepared to handle whatever may come. You all are so supportive and that is awesome so i'm excited to share this journey with you all.

Amy, I'm glad to hear that you still have options for this room deal. And ya, I would be giving the TA a piece of my mind for sure.

UPDATE -

So I spoke with Jennifer from Sun N Sand - she said that companies like Orbitz and Expedia will overbook rooms and then bump you. She called mutlipel tour operators who will not bump and they were all sold out.

Only option is to find these brides with weddings 2 days before and a day after mine and see if they have any extra rooms. I am going to post now on the Forum and maybe other bridal places. haha

Otherwsie, overflow will be the AS. I was even considering moving the wedding to AS, but then I thought - no if people waited to book then thats that...

Amy, good luck in your room search! But seriously, at the end of the day, it is what you said. Those people waited to book. I'm not sure if your TA gave you a timeframe of when it would be pushing it to still not have booked, but people should know better. So, don't stress yourself out!

Wow, I would have been on the phone for ages after that...I hope you made her realise how disappointed and stressed out you are.

But I do agree...you told everyone to book up quick and if they didn't, tough as it sounds, that's their fault and they only have themselves to blame!

Good luck at trying to sort it all out though :)

You're welcome!! I know I'd be freaking out too but I'm glad you at least have other options.

I can related on the bad TA situation, I'm SO happy I switched up mine at the last second. It was the best decision I have made so far.

Good Luck Amy, I know everything will work out!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
