Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hey ladies! I'm back from Punta Cana, and it was awesome :). I probably missed 1000 posts while I was gone, so I'm just going to start from here lol. I hope everyone's planning is still going smoothly and no one had any break downs lol.

It was soooo much fun! This was my first time away other than my wedding, and let me say this..... I have so much more respect for the Sensatori after staying at a not so fancy hotel. Oh and while the beach was beautiful like nothing I'd ever seen before, I would have gone totally bridezilla if I had my wedding there lol. There were hundrends of people on the beach. I saw 2 weddings there and seriously I almost cried for those brides. Besides the fact of the hundreds of people standing only 10ft from their ceremony (some of them topless), there were tons of boats in the background and a million blue beach chairs surrounding the entire ceremony site. Horrific. Their decorations consisted of putting some white fabric on the palm trees - thats it. Even me, being the simplest bride around, would have been traumatized. It was clear that the hotel did not specialize in weddings.

It was the Grand Oasis. I checked before I left to see if there were any forum b2b's but couldn't find any. If I have a minute I should upload some pics I took of the "cermony site". This way when you think you're having a bad day, you can look at them and feel better.

Oh man... I would have gone totally bridezilla too if I showed up and that was my wedding.

I think we were all pretty ok while you were gone, a few minor freakouts but nothing serious :)

Welcome back Nicole! Hope you came back relaxed and tanned and in need of a liver detox :)

Wow - thats crazy. I almost got married in Bahamas before we decided Mexico was a better choice and there were so many pictures I saw (professional ones even) with people standing all around the wedding and listening in. I dont get those people. Like, why would you be so nosey that you want to see that?!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
