A good TA will be honest with you about switching. It may be too late, it may not be. Those few people may simply stay booked with your original one. I would just make sure you still get credit for those nights booked if you guys get free parties or free nights or discounts according to how many people have booked. All I know is mine has bent over backwards to answer my questions and submit anything I request to her tour operator. Now they I have been using her, I am even more appalled at the other TA's I was looking at. I am in medical sales, and if I didn't get back to one of my physicians as soon as he requested something, I would lose that account in a heartbeat!!!!!! Sorry for the rant, but I just don't understand these people that are making money off us but not providing decent service. I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this...let us know if we can help!
This is good advice… I have a group contract already with DW and Iâ€m nervous to switch this late in the game. I do still have half my guests that need to book so Iâ€m wondering if I should have them go through a better TA.

EXACTLY!! I tell my FI this all the time as weâ€re both in Corporate Software Sales and if I didnâ€t respond or get a customer a quote in weeks or continued to send erroneous quotes I wouldnâ€t have a job!!! I would lose customers left and right, it is appalling being in a field where I sell and create and send quotes.

Something similar to this, basically 3 different sized vases with submerged orchids. Green, white & fuschia - small tiny orchid, dendrobiumhuh.gif

With the bridesmaid dresses, I am thinking hot pink shoes (to match mine) and hot pink flowers! They may be too hot for summer. They are VERY thin but 100% silk kinda scares me with sweating! On the website, I have not done the bridal party and some other random sections. I need to focus on finishing "what to wear" and "wedding weekend (as soon as we get it planned out)." Thanks ladies!

New To-Do's:
1) MAIL STD'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2) Order wedding dress
3) Locate sizes for bridesmaids dresses (I may need your help here ladies!)
4) Start picking out our rings!!!!!
5) What else should I be doing at 6 months outhuh.gif
You did AMAZINGLY well!!! I'd say figure out flowers, real or real touch, start working on invite (seriously this has been the hardest so far) If you are doing OOT bags start researching that. Start buying stuff for them too.

I have a LOT of printing to do, menu's etc. and that's time consuming, you could always knock that out early. I need to figure out place card stuff too. Have your peeps decide when you're bridal shower will be and bachelorette.

I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to get all of this stuff down there. Is anyone sending stuff down ahead of time?
Last I heard, nothing can be shipped to the hotel ahead of time and my WC said shipping down to Mexico is very iffy and didn't recommend it at all.

OHHH!! Those are very similar to what I had in mind too! (I will try to send these pics from my phone). I thought you were doing the branch type centerpieces...did you decide against that? I LOVE LOVE LOVE the flowers and candles floating in water...here are some of my inspiration pics:

I would like to do mainly the larger ones, but I think those smaller ones are adorable!! And then I can use the hurricanes from Z Gallerie on the cocktail tables...I am also planning on doing a lounge type set up, so those short candles/floating flowers could go on those tables...

I really like those floating candles too. What kind of flowers can go in the water? do you put fake ones in? I'm also wondering if the candles will blow out being that high in the holder. They might need to be lower because of how windy it is. I'm gonna look into doing something like that for centerpieces I think. Thanks for all who helped with posting pictures!

Woo hoo the bling hurricane glasses are the BOMB! I might check eBay and have them on the cake table or maybe just my table. I LOVE them.

Lindz - Love the Banana dresses. I am having ppl wear longer dresses only b/c I am concerned about the wind on the beach blowing up the dresses.

Girls - thank you all for your advice. I wanted to make sure I wasn't being rude - but come on - you are right AmyF - this guy would not have been invited to the wedding without being the BM's boyfriend. It just puts extra stress on me which is not cool. Its hard not to look rude saying no he cant come - but it was super rude to ask!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
