I haven't really set my heart on anything yet, but the color we want to go with is a pastel yellow, and I was thinking tea length for the dresses. Something light and flowy that they can be comfortable in.

I will be paying for the girls dress and they will be pay for their shoes. I will also pay for make-up and hair as long as I keep saving otherwise they may have to pay for half. I found the dress on nordstromS, good choices and good prices too.

Good Luck searching.

My maids paid for their dresses and shoes. I gave them gifts of stud earrings, handbag, garment bag in addition to gifts for the welcome dinner in Jamaica (a matching beach bag, beach mat, sandals and a necklace made by me). I will pay for their bouquets and if they want their hair or makeup done they will have to pay for that.

I have 8 BM's so there is no way we can buy all of them dresses, no matter what the cost. I bought my sister and niece's dresses because my sis couldn't afford it and my niece is only 15. They were $138, which is decent and they are AWESOME-- I got them at Anthropologie and the girls love them. For gifts I'll probably do embroidered beach totes with swimsuit cover-ups (we're talking target here) and little goodies. Or I'll get them all something at the Spa-- day of our wedding. If it helps at all, my BM's that have the $$ to buy their dresses didn't mind at all-- especially because I found them super cute ones.

My girls paid for there dresses so I didn't have to about 100 a piece. I bought them barefoot sandals (15$), starfish necklace, earrings (25$) and cool bags with their names on them and flip flops etc. They honestly didn't mind paying for their dresses or travel. They actually thanked me for getting married they got a great vacation out of it!

We are taking care of the girls dresses but my mom is sewing them. We ordered my daughters dress since it matches mine. As for the guys outfits, we already got their shirts (on sale at Sears for $20) and then we will watch for the khakis to go on sale for them. Everyone will be going barefoot during the ceremony and then they can wear sandels or whatever for the reception.

For the gifts, FI got flasks for the guys with their names engraved, and I got beach totes that will have their names embroidered, larimar earrings, larimar pendant and silver chain.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
