ROR - Wheelchair Accessible?

Recommended Posts

I am still trying to decide on a resort for my wedding but have to take into consideration the accessibility of the resort as some of my guests have physical disabilities. I really like all the reviews I have read about the ROR and am seriously considering it. Does anyone know if there are ramps, stand alone showers etc at this resorthuh.gif Also, I was wondering if there are other areas to get married and have a reception that doesn't involve the beach as again this would be an issue for a few of my guests ? Can you rent out a restaurant for the evening to have more of a private reception with dancing speeches etc?

Thanks a bunch,

Allyson

I know there are ramps everywhere. Like the entrance and to get to the pools and such. I'm not sure about the stand alone showers. Probably in the upgraded suites but I didn't do that one so I'm not sure. If you got married in the gazebo in the garden it would be more accessible than the beach. And yes you can rent out a restaurant for your reception.

I just asked the same question! My TA finally heard back from ROR and they said that the entire resort is handicap accessible. Also, if you let them know that someone is in a wheelchair they will book them a room on the first floor. They also have wheelchairs available there to use, not sure if that's helpful in your situation or not. I agree that the garden gazebo would be a wise decision to accomodate your guests in this case.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
