How annoying! there are ppl like that in my office too! they never participate in anything, and never contribute

... but when it is their turn for a baby or wedding shower -all of a sudden they think the office staff should celebrate with them, have a luncheon in thier honour and supply a gift too

... but, for goodness sakes, don't ask them for a $5.00 donation to someone else's baby/wedding/retirement....

grr.

I used to work in an office where if it was your birthday, you brought in cake for everyone (about 10 people).

So this one lady always said she didn't celebrate her birthday just so she didn't have to bring in cake (the cheap witch), but would eat more than her fair share when it was someone else's birthday.

AND THEN, if there was any left over, she asked if she could bring it back to her office to share with her other coworkers! The nerve!

This is also the same person who goes out for dinner once a week with a friend and ALWAYS has a complaint about the food just so she can get a discount. I wonder if she's ever seen that movie "Waiting" with Ryan Renolds, I bet she's never send anything back then!

Moochers bug me soooo much. smile41.gif

Every time she'd go for cake, I'd question her about her new diet and how it was going. It always made her think twice about the cake, and she'd never request to bring some back to her dept.

I would SO say something to the loser... man I hate people like that!

If you're not comfortable talking to him, then maybe mention to someone who's in charge (someones gotta collect the money, etc) & just casually say that maybe you should keep a list because you've noticed that people who don't participate are eating the food & you think it's unfair... that way you don't have to name any names & then it's in someone elses hands to try to do something..

Chances are if you're noticing then everyone else is too!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
