LEIGH

Recommended Posts

popcorn.gif I'm getting ready to start a 6 month countdown for our wedding and just wanted to see what everybody (that needs to!) is settng for your goal weight loss...Are you wanting to lose pounds, inches or just toning? And for those of you that have already been there and done that, at what point did you buy your dress, and how many times was it to be altered??!!

Thanks girls!!! I will need hours in the gym for this one! (I don't even want to go and try on dresses until I see myself toning up!!!!

Thanks for your input!

Leigh

I am trying to loose 10 lbs. Right now since my wedding is 7 months away I am working out about 3 times a day for about an hour. I am running on the treadmill for 30 minutes and then the bike for 30 minutes and then the weight room for about 20 minutes.

3 months before the wedding I am planning on swimming for an hour for toning, then weights for half an hour and then some light running. This will be about 5 to 6 days a week. I know the closer my wedding gets the more nervous I will be so I am sure to loose some weight.

I am 5 months away and hoping to loose as much as I can before the wedding. I am telling myself to worry about the inches since I am getting stronger and the scale can drive you nuts! I am involved in a bootcamp program and work out 5-6 days per week for an hour per day (but is jam packed from start to finish!)

I've lost 5 pounds in 2 months just by watching my portions and eating healthy. Another reason why i think I've lost some weight is because I usually had a junk food snack before bed. Now I don't eat junk (I opt for carrots or those flavored rice chips) and I don't eat after 8 pm.

I started Weight Watchers in early Jan. I have lost just about 8lbs so far. I am working towards a loss of 30lbs, or at least two pant sizes, I was a twelve, fitting comfortably in a 10 now, and hoping by the wedding to be in 6's or 8's (I would like to settle at an 8, but a 6 for wedding day would be great)

I already bought my dress and will just get it altered if I need to.

I haven't done any working out yet, but starting next week I will be at the gym just about full time.

I am also doing weight watchers, I just started, this is my second week and I have lost 4 lbs. I go to the gym at least 3 times a week, but I aim for 4. I am hoping to lose 20 lbs for the wedding. That would make me really happy. I am going to look at a dress this weekend, I will buy when I am happy and just get it altered as many times as I need to.

Good job Christine! Wow, weight watchers really does work. I was going to join but I never did... I calculated some points and what not but i never attended the meetings or anything. Do you go to the weekly meetings on a regular basis? Would you recomend it? Just curious...

I am also doing weight watchers (we have a thread to help each other) I've lost 9 lbs. so far, I want to lose as much as I can before I order my dress, but I want to continue to lose right up until the day I leave for mexico!!

I also looked for dresses with corset backs, so that it will eliminate the need to have alterations more than once. I'm going to wait as long as I can to order it and I am also going to wait until the last possible minute to get it altered.

I do 30 minutes of jogging/walking on the treadmill, I aim for everyday, but usually it ends up being 3-4 times a week, which I need to work on! But I really need to get myself back into the habit of doing weights too, at least a couple times a week.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
