I am getting married at the Colonial on January 5, 2010. We arrive on the Saturady, get married on the Tuesday and aren't meeting with the wc until Monday. I am a little worried anout leaving things until the day before the wedding...yikes.

Not to ensue panic but... are you doing the legal wedding? Because by Mexican law you have to be in the country three business days before getting married which would mean the earliest you could be married is the Wednesday or Thursday...

I wouldn't worry about meeting with the WC the day before your wedding though. From what I hear, they have everything under control. Essentially all you are doing is picking flowers, location and stuff like that. Try to organize alot of things before you go via email with your WC. I guess it depends on how many extras you are adding on.

We are just doing a symbolic ceremony so we don't need to be there for the 3 or 4 days prior to the wedding but I am still a little uneasy, I will have to do most stuff over the internet. Hopefully she can give me lots of options (pictures) via email.

Did any of you do itinerary for the week or simply stuck to wedding day...also does any one know where a good place is to find a template?  Did any one have their dresses clean and/or pressed at the resort?...any thoughts....? • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
