We had that menu also sent to us. You can mix and match we had

The

Sea scallops salad with lime vinaigrette

Cream of asparagus sauce

Lemon sherbet with vodka

Surf & Turf (Beef tenderloin with lobster tail)

Crème brûlée

Coffee, petit fours (this was the chocolate covered strawberries)

I am in the food business so I knew what most of there were BUT some I had to look up.

What items were you wondering about?

EVERYTHING we had WAS GREAT and it was way more food then we thought!

Let me know how I can help!

Hi Girls,

Thank you for your quick replies!!! I think that I am just confused as it's spanish/ english and to me is all over the place! What did you ladies choose for menushuh.gif

Maybe hearing what you guys chose will help me understand ours? Our options were a Steak House, Mediterranean and Italian?

Let me see if I can attach the one that we are looking at....

We were looking at the Santa Fe before we decided to go with the gala dinner.

This is what we were going to pick:

Bontana Santa Fe

Mixed Grill

And a dessert.

We found it very hard to understand the santa fe menu. We didn't know if we only picked one from each course or what. Best bet, email your WC and ask her to elabrate a bit more.

We didn't want to go with the other menus because we felt that they were very limited and the Santa Fe offered the best options for all of our guests.

Your menu seems to be exactly what we want as well!! I guess write the WC and if she needs more info she will get back to us too...right?

Also, do you know how flexiable they are on changes! Like I know one person attending will not eat steak do you know if we are allowed to substitue for chicken on that one?

Thank you so much!!

  • 2 weeks later...

Hello ladies!!! Not sure if anyone can help me. I've been trying to book my 2010 date with the WCs, who have told me they aren't booking for 2010 yet. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good travel agents in the Vancouver/lower maindland area of BC? I have gone to three different travels agents who haven't really been helpful or come up with ridiculous prices per person. Does anyone know any good travel agents they can direct me to and how much they paid per person for Barcelo Maya Colonial/Tropical for 7 nights? THANKS!!! Happy planning!

We are from Mn and for most of our guests it was about $1100-$1300 per person for one week including: flight, transfer (the resort was about 45 min from the airport) and hotel/All inclusive. IT TOTALLY Depends what time of the year you go..... We went in October which is considered the off season because of the possibility of rain SO I am sure it was cheaper when we went. It was also nice because it was not full so we were able to get into the restaurants we wanted without a problem. Have you asked around about a travel agent? That is how we found ares BUT we did have to switch after the first one we found was not getting what we wanted! Don't be afraid to shop around!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
