Hi, congratualtions on your wedding!

I am so glad that there are people to talk to as we are from Canada and never been to Mexico! Our WC is Gabriela, who did you guys have?

I would love to see your pics?

Overall how was your experience at the Barcelo?

Thank you again!

Hi,

My WC is Gabriela. She takes about week to get back to me but eventually answers most of my questions. Smartinez, Congrats on your wedding! It's good to see someone from MN on here! Do you have a review posted of your wedding I can read? I would love to see pics also! Which section of the resort did you stay at? Where did you have your dinner? Thank you!

We also worked with Gabriella. She was great once we got there. The resort is all connected as one BUT the palace is privet and you can only go their if you are a guest. We had some guest staying there so we checked out the place. The rooms were nicer and up to date. BUT the main part (colonial/tropical) are great. Everyone liked it! Have you seen the map of the resort? I think the WC emailed it to us. You could ask for it. Our wedding was on the beach by the palmeras grill. We then had our dinner in the grill. This grill is someplace you can have your dinner because at night because it closes around 630/7. We did the Ocean Scents package so we were supposed to eat on the beach BUT we did not want that.... because if it rained we would have been in a banquet room (which we did not want)!!! Our WC also emailed us pictures of this area. The FOOD was great and the presentation of the food was unbelievable! Everyone was very happy, even the kids loved there options. I will need to work on getting some pictures up.

Please keep asking questions! I know when I was still planning I picked brains since they have been there and seen and experienced everything. How many people do you think will attend? We had about 56.

LIke I said I will working on getting pictures up... I just need to figure it out! ?

Thanks for the info. I would also like to have dinner in a grill instead of on the beach. Did you get a dj or anything? Do you know if you can just hook up an ipod? We don't want to pay for a dj because we are having a reception at home with a dj. But it would be nice to have some music and do some dancing. What grill did you eat in? Are some nicer than others? I think we'll have around 50-60 people. Did you have the spa do your hair? How was it? I'm a little nervous about the hair part. Thanks!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
