I just say "I heard somewhere..." or "I know someone who...." It's easier to explain since a lot of people I know don't even know what a forum is. Those closest to me def know about this forum, but I have to say they don't get our humor. I've tried to share things that I thought were incredibly funny- like our photo/caption thread. My sister said it wasn't funny. Well poo on her because I laugh out loud at them. :)

Ditto. I bitch at him too much for always being away playing some sport. So when he is finally around I try to not be hypocritical. I'm usually on here at work or when DH is playing one of his stupid sports. LOL

michelle, that is too cute :) tell her "hi" from us :)

doug used to not get it, but the longer i've been a member and the more i talk about it, the less weirded out he is. i tried to get him to join this jeep forum that is set up exactly like ours, so he would understand, but he's just not into this kinda thing. a long time ago he made me start saying "my forum friend" and my "work", "real", etc so he knew what i meant. now i just say maura, rachel, carly, yari, whoever, and he knows who i mean. he even knows where everyone lives and asks stuff like "how is your friend ann?" a few days after the baby-gwen-early-birth-debacle. its pretty cute.

the kids on the other hand are so into it! i dont usually get on at home, but when i do they have to be over my shoulder! they always want to know whats going on with so and so, and ali loves to look at all the pictures, and the smilies. she is such a voyer!

hahaha, i tried to explain to doug why i was laughing so hard at morgans legal wedding pics, about nibblets being in them, he was like why is there a ferret in those pictures? i was telling him about the ferret thread but he didnt get it. the kids wanted to scroll thru the whole thing, they loved the pics and descriptions.

Mine doesn't care lol he's hardly home and when he is all I can hear from the spare room is "reload reload" from one of his games or he is always on facebook lol

The amount of time he spends on his PS2 and laptop when he's only home for a couple of days he can bog off if I'm on here for a little bit lol

One of my m8s gets annoyed because if I'm on here "I don't answer his text quick enough!!" lmao I think its because i'm getting married myself lmfao

We go back and forth on this subject. Martin understands why I'm on it but at the same time he can't stand it. I admit, there are times when it takes over my world for a bit and I get really sucked in (jeez, in the beginning I was on ALL the time). I feel bad when he calls me out on it because he feels like I'm ignoring him sad.gif He does belong to a car forum but understands that the two are not the same. He knows a lot of the girls on here by name since I talk about y'all so much cheesy.gif

Overall I would say that he is jealous of the forum sad.gif

Well I think I started out as the jealous partner. lol. Jay joined two months before me and would talk about what he read on here or his "destination brides" forum as he called it. And I finally I decided to join to see what he was talking about. Plus I didn't want anyone to think I was a slacker bride.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
