viewing threads

i just have some quick questions about viewing threads.

 

is there any way i can see more than 10 replies on one page? it can get a little tedious when there are 10 pages of replies and the "good stuff" is hidden at the end.

 

also, is there a way to set it up so that signature pics are not displayed? everyones pics are, of course, gorgeous- but i am slightly addicted to this forum, and seeing them on each of the 100s of threads i read a day bogs me down. :) [haha maybe the solution to that is for me to get off the stinkin computer!!]

yes you can go into your user CP and take off the siggy pics. As far as the amount of threads per page that is not something we have control over.

actually, christine you CAN change the amount of replies you can see in a thread at once. let me look at the user CP to write out directions how to.

you can go to User CP, the on the left hand menu theres something that says "edit options" - click that. then scroll down just about halfway down the page and you should see "Number of posts per page" in a box that has a pulldown menu. for example, mine is set to 40 posts per page.

 

let me know if you have trouble with it and i can try to post some screen shots so you can see what i mean.

me too i did it a few months ago, and it's really been a scroll-saver! so much nicer to only have 3 pages to go thru on some threads than 15+!!
