Ok I need some advice! I already know everyone that is coming because they have all booked! So my question is Should I still send out Invites? I wanted to send them out because I feel like I need to but then again if I do send them out what do I put in them. I got a mock set from PocketFolders - Vertico and I really wanted to do them! I just have no clue what to put in them. I was thinking maybe some reminders but then again that is what we have our website for and I feel like I would be repeating myself. Any ideashuh.gifhuh.gif?

You could include a page of regional information--- maybe taxi information and company numbers for when they leave the airport, a little info on the events at the hotel that weekend, local restaurants (if not AI resort), etc...

Or, you could include the invite and then make one of the sheets a personal handwritten letter telling them how much you're looking forward to spending time with them, etc...

Since you're doing the invites on your own, you could customize each folder's information to make it appropriate for the individual (depending on how much time you have to do something like that)...

You can send them, but is there anyone that you want to invite that has not already booked their reservations? Invitations are expensive. So you really need to think about who should get one and who really doesn't need one. I am sure your parents woulndn't mind getting one.

I have everything on our website too, but I'm still sending traditional invitations with the standard wording and then doing inserts of Directions from the airport, Welcome reception info, At home reception info, and accomodations and rsvp (which you obviously won't need). I agree it is expensive to send them out. But, I think it is a nice idea to send them...it makes it feel more formal. I also wanted to be able to keep a copy of our invitation for sentimental reasons.

......I don't think anyone has booked one of our rooms yet!...aghhh

I sent formal invites but included a little card with our website on it so I wouldn't also have to print all those inserts (especially cause it's easy to make updates to the website all the time, not as easy to update a one-time mailing).

Why not just send formal invites but nothing else? Then you have them for sentimental reasons but you don't kill yourself with too much to do that is unnecessary?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
