ROR - May 2009 Date & Time Confirmation

Recommended Posts

I too am having difficulties finding not only a wedding time, but a wedding date!!! Every single day seems to be booked for Apr and May 2009. Is it true you have to be there 2 business days prior to the wedding? There is a Tuesday in May available, but I would only be able to arrive on the Sat and when filling out the online form it keeps telling me I have to be there 2 business days prior? I ideally would like a Wed or Thurs but there is literally nothing :o( I have already contact the resort and they have given me the same info.

Allyson, I am getting married on a Tuesday and arriving on a Saturday. I stressed out about this too, but they allow it...when you fill out your online application thing, just type in that you will be arriving 2 days before and then just write in the comment box that really you are arriving on the saturday....

We booked our date in september for our april wedding. When we looked on the site there was not any date available so we emailed them back and forth and they finally gived us a 4p.m. wedding the week we wanted.

So if I were you I would take the date and hour they offer you right now and keep trying to change your time. I'm sure there will be some cancelation.

I agree with what everyone has metioned. Book what you can now. Then try calling periodically to see if anything has opened up.

I put in my request forever ago (and got what I wanted)... but hadn't done the confirmation step (was waiting to book). Well I got an email this month saying I had 48 hours to confirm my wedding or else they would give my spot away (to someone who was trying to get a later time slot). We of course immediately figured out the booking and confirmed our spot. But if a bride is on the edge or has decided to go elsewhere... they may not confirm and then the spot could be yours. good luck!

I am in the same boat at Marnie&Peter...Actually, we are the exact same :) I too am arriving on Saturday (the same as her) and having the wedding on a Tuesday. I just put the wedding date as the day I wanted, change my departure date to be the Friday (which wasn't true) and put a note in the comment box. My TA (who is dealing with Chandlyn directly) also told her the difference.

and now we are good to go for the Tuesday. at noon :S and marnie&Peter are later that day :)

Anyone know how long it takes between the date/time you request and when that time is removed from the availability calendar? For example, I go to the site today and request 9/5/09 @ 4pm...someone else goes to the site today and requests 9/5/09 @ 4pm, and on and on. Is this date given on a first come first serve basis? How many requests are allowed for same dates/times? Just wondering, because my travel agent requested 9/5/09 @ 4pm and I've now gone back to the site to check availabilty and that time slot is now unavailable. I have not received any official confirmation and am wondering if that time slot went to someone else.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
