I need some good Russian music to bring for the DJ play. The kind of stuff you hear in Russian Rest.

    Any 1 out there?

I'm Russian. We were actually lent a CD by a professional restaurant singer to use for our wedding, but before he offered I just went to the stores and looked around for the music. Anything that's like best of the 80s will cover the Russian music you generally hear. I imagine on Brighton Beach there are lots of stores that sell this kind of music....

Privet, I'm also Russian, I dont have any good music and we're doing English and Mexican music for the wedding. There is a great website for buying Russian CDs online, its RussianDVD.com - Russian DVD and Russian music store. They have all kinds of music and they let you listen to the whole album. I usually just listen to it at work. Hope this helps.

Hi, I'm not Russian but everyone at my job is. They said you can download songs online if you know exactly what your looking for. One of my co-workers said there is tons of stuff on limewire and itunes. Also she said if you go to the stores in Brighton Beach you can get all the CD's. But again you have to know what your looking for. Don't know if this helps or not but I figured I would mention it anyway.

HAHAH. I totally though you were talking about mail order brides when I saw the thread title.

I am Russian too (well Ukranian, pretty close) and love some of that kind of music. Unfortunately all I have for you though is my joke above, a statement of my Nationality and not much else. Lots of help I am .

Thank you all. Do any of you girls (and 1 guy) happen to know the names of any songs so I can try to DL before I get myself to Brighton one of these lovely weekends?

There are a bunch of compilation albums out there that have all the songs everyone knows. Here's a couple:

Russian Collection 1985-2000 (2 CD Set)

Privetik! I'm Russian and here what we played at our wedding.
My friend burned 3 CDs for me and we gave them to our DJ.

Wow, great list, i love how you have the old and the new stuff on there. I might add a few russian songs to my list to make my mom happy. Noone else at my wedding is Russian, so I dont want to do too much. Thank you for posting the list.
