"baby's daddy" vent

Recommended Posts

Well, in true Father's Day form, my daughter's dad acted like a pure butt-head. (trying to keep this rated PG)

Since she is under 16 (she is 15) she has to have both of her parents conset to her getting her passport. Well, he has been giving us the run-around about when he can meet us at the post office. Our appointment was last Thursday and as expected, he didnt show. The lady at the post office gave me a consent form that he could sign and we could get notarized. He said he will not sign it.

Jasmine will be 15 on 8/14 and we leave on 8/30. There should be enough time to get her passport done with expedited service, but it is just the frustration of it. I guess he is thinking that if she can't go, I will not go.

He is such a jerk. Thanks for letting me vent.

Wow, Shandra, that really sucks. I am not sure if 2 weeks will be enough time though! Is there anyway to get him to agree? What about getting his mom involoved? If you have a good relationship with her, she might be able to get him to be reasonable. So sorry that he is putting you thru the wringer.

That is just gross. What the F is his problemhuh.gif

I hate it when people are mean out of spite.

We should come up with some way to let him know that we appreciate his a**hole-ness. Like order some gay porn magazine and have it sent to his house.

What a total JERK!

ROFL - me likey this idea (now, to remember his street number....)

Carly - I will try to get in touch with his mom. She has been in and out of a nursing home but maybe she is still there and I can stop by to see her. She is not very influential in his life (he is a selfish prick who cares about no one but himself) but maybe she can get through to him.

Thanks.

Shandra I am so sorry this is really irritating, he obviously has issues with you moving on and being happy. Its too bad he puts his child in the middle of things. My parents always tried not to put me in the middle, but my dad managed to a few times.

I would also suggest possibly getting a lawyer involved if needed.

Shandra,

I am very sorry to hear this. He sounds like a complete jackass and it's obvious he is jealous/mad that you have moved on and are getting married and is doing it to spite you.

He shouldn't be taking it out on your daughter though.

Don't worry. Everything will work out.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
