Best Places to TTD?

Looking for a little insight here from those who have had shoots done in RM. We're getting married in Puerto Aventuras, and honeymooning in Akumal. We aren't restricting ourselves to those two towns, but would like to get some pointers on a great location for our TTD shoot. I do plan to ask the photographer, but wanted to see if any of you had any spots you particularly loved.

 

We're going to try to do it as early as possible to avoid "extras" in the shots. And I love the rocks that I've seen photographed on Tulum beach, though I know we can't do it on anything owned by the government.

Right now we are thinking in a cenote or at xcaret if we can get permission.

I loved using the Tulum public beach. it's just down the road from the ruins and it has BEAUTIFUL water, wonderfully colored boats, and some really cool buildings which are abandoned/under construction which make for cool photos. I would check that out.

We are planning on doing ours in a Cenote. Who is your photographer? They might be able to send you some cool locations.

Tlseege - That's where we're planning on doing our TTD, but I've kind of noticed in some other threads people going there and then not being allowed to do a photo shoot there. Have you heard of this? Or did you do yours in a special area where it is allowed?

We did ours on the public beach, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't be allowed. Very interesting...

I think you are on the right track. If you want rocks and not a lot of extras I would use the north end of Tulum (near the ruins). If you want just bech, I would use th south end of Tulum near Si'an Kaan. If you want underwater shots, use Soliman Bay, but you'll need weight belts.

I love love love the cenote idea! And the pics are amazing!! So artistic! I think other than actually having the honor to be Mrs. taylor, the TTD is going to one of my favorite activities!! Good Luck! Can't wait to see your pics when you get it all worked out!!
