Thanks for NOT responding!

Recommended Posts

So I know I'm not alone here...

Today was the final day for my guests to RSVP. Wedding in 22 days (holy cannoli!) and I just wanted to say that at first I was pissed... pissed that I've only gotten FIVE RSVP cards back out of the 52 confirmed and booked, but now I just find it hilarious cause I remember when my girlf got married last year she said, NOBODY EVER RETURNS THEM! LOL.

I can so relate.

And we still anticipate a couple more people coming so yeah, I just wanted to talk about it somewhere... about how nobody ever RSVPs. :)

I feel your pain. My deadline is Sunday and I had my FI's grandmother call me and RSVP for her FFIL his wife FBIL and his gf. I got one email RSVP and another phone call from my MOH telling me she and her parents have booked. That is it from the 75 invites I sent!

this is sooo true!!

I have to admit, that I was once one of those people that didn't RSVP. I thought "hey i already told them I was going, why send the thing back?" However, now being a bride and not getting all of our RSVPs back, I will never, ever again, not RSVP!

Nobody ended up booking with my TA because she was so expensive and she ended up not being able to help the Canadians even though she told me she could. SO if I want a count I guess I will be calling people Monday if I don't hear from them by Sunday. Most of FI's friends have said they are coming but haven't booked or RSVPed so who knows! BLAH!

I juist really wonder if I should send out RSVP cards after all! That stinks that you put so much effort into stuff and people disregard. We do have a website and several peopler RSVPd there, so I wonder if I need to send those cards bc they may think "we already RSVPd". grrrr. what to do? I feel your frustration though!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
