Thanks for all the good mojo. elefant.gif just letting the planning get to me a little bit. it's the control freak in me that is having issues with planning from afar. The resort does seem great and Alejandra is super nice.

We are looking for a more intimate resort. We are also considering The Royal Playa Del Carmen. If anyone has compared The Royal with Secrets I would love to hear it!

My job has been surper busy lately and is getting in the way of my wedding planning!

Thanks all!

We did and stayed four nights, and LOVED IT!! The people were great, I don't even think they know the work No there, they say yes my pleasure to everything. We loved the service, food, resort, everything! WE JUST LOVED IT!!! We are getting married there on February 9th 2009. We know that our guest will be happy there too!!

I don't think you could go wrong with Secrets or the Royal in PDC. My fiance and I stayed at the Royal during our site visit and loved it. It's in the heart of PDC, the food and service were excellent, and there is a sister hotel next door that's a little cheaper and allows children. We had a tough time deciding between the two, but ultimately chose Secrets because we thought it had a more intimate feel, we liked the beach better, and I really liked Alejandra. I'm getting married in 3 months (!) so I'll be sure to post a review and pictures!

I am just starting my planning at Secrets Capri with Alejandra and was wondering how her communication has been with you? We were engaged at the hotel and went back for a site visit to confirm that we still loved the resort and we did!!! I am just attempting to confirm the date with Alejandra and not sure if I should continue to wait on her to e-mail me back or if I should get a calling card and call her. Any suggestions??

I've only used email, knowing it takes her 2 days to respond. If you know that it will take that long, you aren't on edge waiting (and checking your email every 30 minutes!).

Since you have been there mmcgee - do you have any pics you can share with us? Secrets Capri is one of the less popular resorts (I think mainly because of the adults-only thing). I'm always interested in more pics!

And now it seems like we have several SC brides so we can all help each other out :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
