Hey!!

So I took Sat and Sun off.. cheat days! I am back on board on tomarrow (Mon). I dont plan on doing all 7 days but doing it during the work week and taking weekends off.

I am sure this diet is not for everyone, but it def works for me! I feel like I have a ton more energy. I love that you can eat when ever you want. It is a little tough to eat out with friends, but in the end this weekend I barely wanted to cheat! I was so excited to get to the farmers market to get new and fresh veggies to make a new batch of soup. I know that is totally wierd but I feel great and cheating just didnt make me feel good.

For those working out----> Eat a snack before hand I work out (40 min cardio-the light weights for 20 min). If I try to so it right before my next meal it does not work. My blood sugar gets too low and I get naseous. well at least that was my experience.

Jackie- I toal =ly found myself getting cranky fast!! I just learned to eat more frequently soup or fruit or veg whatever the day called for I just ate all thru the day, snacks and meals.

Estella - I did find some extra BM's (bowel movements). However this is a cleanse and you are detoxing. I just chalked it up to every BM equalled more cleansed. I did find 2 extra BMs the first 2-3 days then it slowed down on bannna day and then more when beef day came in to play.

Estella- i think gaining back depends on your normal eating habits. If this is completely different and you go back to normal of course you'll gain it back. The biggest difference for us is meat and carbonated drinks. We usually have meat everyday, so after this I may start substituting veggie burgers & veggie chix patties and hope that helps a little. We drink alot of Diet Pepsi, but during the summer we drink alot of tea so thats helpful. We do most of our shopping at the farmers market and generally eat very healthy so really the biggest thing for us is the meat and carbonated drinks we don't drink alcohol much so that doesn't really affect us.

I think in order to keep it off is to really eat much healthier w/ LOTS of fresh fruits and veggies. I saw an episode on Oprah where they had people change for one week to eating 11lbs of food, but all of it was fresh fruits and veggies and they all lost 10+ lbs even though they had to eat 11lbs of food a day its just better for you, better nutrients, less calories, etc.

oh Erika as soon as the crankiness starts i start eating, my problem is when i get up in the morning! I can't take eating right as i get up, but i just get up cranky.

Alrighty-thanks to Jackie I started this morning. I'm off to a spinning class, I had a bowl of soup and I'm hoping I don't feel to weak or sick.

I hiked all weekend so my body is a little sore and tired to start with. But, it's also period time so I'm really curious to see if this changes my moods or eating habits at all.

Nice job Erika! If this helps my PMS at all I may try doing it a week out of every month on a regular basis. The extra energy would be really nice to have.

After hearing everyone on this board talk about it, I'm really wanting to try it...once I get around to making the soup. I could definitely go for getting more energy and the fact that I wouldn't be able to eat out would be great b/c I'm trying to cut back on that anyway to save money!

ok I'm on Day 4 and have TOO much energy!! I've been up since 6am just cleaning! I normally get up at 7 and get Cattie up, take Joe to work (I don't know what he does, but he uses more gas driving himself there and back than I do driving him there, then home, and going back again to pick him up and come home!)

Then have breakfast, etc.

I lost the .2lbs I gained yesterday but didn't work out cause once again I was on the go until 10:30pm! Then I went to bed and would almost get to sleep but not quite so i got up and cleaned our office until 1 am!

I don't know that I could do this every week, but definitely once a month. Joey and I cheated a little yesterday and were dying for meat we had some veggie chix patties for lunch, it was a veggie day so we didn't feel like it was too bad, but a small cheat!

Ha ha ha. Jackie that is not even a cheat!!!

I had to have almonds and apple on a meat day because I forgot to pack meat for lunch and was feeling week.

But the energy thing is insane, I am so excited to start again today. I did a chicken stock soup with jalepenos, cilantro, and extra tomatoes so kind of mexican-ish.

Going to get a bowel of watermelon ready for breakfast :)

Joe and I tried to convince ourselves it wasn't a cheat! Thanks for reassuring me!

Mmmm your soup sounds good! I love how you can put seasonings as you want in it! Although I have to admit I like it much better fresh! So I've been getting up and making a new batch every morning, which was the VERY first think i did this morning after going to the bathroom!

Yesterday (Fruit only day) was fine. I wasn't hungry or tired or crabby. Today is veggie only day and I'm hungry and craving sweets. I'm at work and it's slow so I'm just sitting here trying not to grab something awful. And then tomorrow is "customer appreciation day" at BOTH of my offices with cookies and cake *sigh*. Usually I can pack up and go to my other desk when they do that but both locations are doing it. I hope I can make it through.....I haven't checked the scale to see if I've gotten anywhere yet so maybe I'll do that this evening and see if it helps me stay motivated tomorrow. I am looking forward to my baked potato tonight.

What veggies are you all using? I'm going to try some things I haven't had in years like beets and eggplant. It's kind of fun!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
