That was our logic....plus, it's still 800 times better than anything else we'd order there under normal circumstances(and a lot less calories than we'd normally eat in a day) LOL FI came home and ate a bowl of soup.

Exactly! I ate two bowls of soup earlier, after my potato and brocolli. I'm so glad we can have fruit again tomorrow.

I was saying to DH earlier that I can't wait unti Beef day! It will be so nice to taste something other than veggies!

I think yall did good out to eat. Like you said WAY better then you'd normally do. I give you props on passing up the bread and olive oil- that stuff is so yummy!

Now I'm hungry and I can't wait to have some beef as well!

Okay - Dez - 3:24 this morning you were posting! You are nuts girl!

I am officially on board! I made a big arse crockpot full of soup! Dang, that recipe makes a lot! I only made half because that's all that would fit in the pot, but I am in! I have the rest of the ingredients to finish the other half in a couple of days.

Last night as I was eating the last of the junk before my big "cleanse" I was thinking - dang, this must be what it feels lwhen you know you are going to rehab! LOL

I'm in - I got a big container of soup, a big container of cantelope and honeydew and I'm ready to give it a try!

Props to you Dez for containing yourself at Carrabas! I cancelled a dinner date on Saturday because I KNOW I don't have the will power - YET.

In my early 20's I used to be on a mostly veggie and verry little chicken and seafood diet. I felt so good and really kept my weight down. This may be the direction I am going in again. We'll see what happens!

Have a great day ladies!

I'm thinking that since I went back to eating healthy 3 weeks ago (I was out of work for 6 months and ate crap) this isn't going to be beneficial. I say that because I usually eat spinach, broccoli, grilled chicken or turkey and sugar free peaches and sugar-free jello. Also, the only thing I drink is water (however, I do have oj and skim milk for my son in the fridge). I feel very tired and bloated (not that time of the month either). Not sure if it's because I'm working out everyday or not. Is anyone else working out everyday? I'm definitely still going to do it because I can't fit into any of my slacks for work and most of my skirts. Maybe I'll feel better tomorrow.

BTW, this is Day Two for me! So I added spinach to my soup for today and brought spinach leaves. I don't know how I will eat the spinach leaves since we can't have dressing though!! I don't eat baked potatoes (haven't for years) and plan on eating grilled turkey breast (4oz) with my soup for dinner tonight. So hopefully, that doesn't really make a difference.

Congrats! You can do it!!! The un-bloated feeling is well worth it!!

LOL, I have been known to be a bit of a nut :) Actually, I'm in NY, so it was 5:15 here :) FI get up for work between 4:30 & 5 (which means I hit snooze between 4:30 & 5 and then force him out of bed). Usually I go back to sleep, but I had a hard time this morning :)

What you did in your early 20's sounds close to what I did in my early 20's. I lost 70lbs and felt great and looked great...then I met FI....gained 100 lbs from my lowest (LITERALLY!).

With a few modifications and knowing that I can eat out and not destroy it probably means I can do this for longer than 1 week.

I just weighed myself again and I'm down a total of 7lbs...even waited 15 min for the scale to reset like the manual says and weighed myself again...same thing :)

FI said he felt bloated, but I figured it was because he's not used to eating THAT many veggies....

I'd say if you don't start feeling better by tomorrow, then to go off of it. You eat great to being with and your health isn't worth it.

I walk, but it's not the same as intense work outs.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
