Monica, I don't know if I've ever mentioned this before, but you look just like a girl I used to work with, her name is Colleen, everytime I see your picture I want to say hey colleen, how's it going??, and then I have to stop myself because you aren't her, lol!fryingpan.gif

Oh really, that's funny :) Hope it's a compliment LOL I finally made the soup and I wasn't in the mood to taste it because I knew I'd be eating it all week but I did taste the broth to make sure I had enough seasoning and it was good. I'm excited but not haha it's very strict but if it works then it's all worth it!

Oh yes, its a good thing!! We were very close when we worked together, since we were the only girls in our department and we sat right next to each other. She moved back to where she was from and I haven't talked to her probably in about a year or so now, it just catches me off guard when I see your pic :)

My soup is cooking right now, it smells pretty good, I had to add more seasonings. I cut up my fruit too, so I'm ready to go!

Good morning :) FI was having a hard time grasping "no sweatner what-so-ever in your coffee" LOL I sent him off to work with a big bowl of soup, large tupperware of watermelon and a peach and nectarine (I hope I sent him enough food LOL). I ate some watermelone too - YUM!

I think I'm going to weigh myself so I know where I start.

Question abuut tomorrow...you know how they say try to stay away from dry beans, does that mean kidnee beans and chick peas...even canned ones?? sad.gif

So, I googled "dry beans" and there's a "National Dry Bean Counsel"...You have GOT to be kidding me!!!!

But I did find this from The Cooks Theasaurus, so I think canned are OK...

"Beans are low in fat and loaded with nutrients, and we'd probably eat more of them if they weren't also loaded with flatulence-producing enzymes. There are ways to enjoy beans without having to forego social appointments, however. One is to change the water from time to time while you're soaking or cooking the beans. Pouring off the water helps gets rid of the indigestible complex sugars that create gas in your intestine. It also helps to cook the beans thoroughly, until they can be easily mashed with a fork. Most bean aficionados prefer dried beans, but canned beans are also available. These don't need to be cooked, but they tend to be saltier and less flavorful than reconstituted dried beans. "

Okay...I am just now seeing this thread as I wasn't on this week-end. But, I definitely want to join you guys. So I will get all of the ingredients after work and start it tonight. I bring my lunch everyday and it's usually the same thing everyday for one week then the next week something else, etc. So eating the same thing everyday will not be a problem. But, I will add 2 protein shakes (I'm in training and only 4 carbs in each) on all days except days five and six), will not be drinking skim milk (I DON'T drink milk....gross), and will substitute chicken or turkey for beef since I don't eat beef. Never done a diet before so I'm kinda stoked! Good luck everyone!

FI called me before, he ate the soup and really liked it! He also ate all the fruit I sent him to work with and went to 711 and got a huneydew/cantalope/grape bowl. He says he's not hungry whatsoever (which is great, because he has a HUGE appetite).

When he gets home we're going to stratagize tonight and tomorrow and go grocery shopping.

I know I have frozen strawberries and skim milk was on the ok to drink list, so maybe we'll have fruit smoothies tonight as "desert" :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
