@@Jlk1004 I would see if the singer would count as an outside vendor or if you could get away with just a day pass. I know for cocktail hours it's $7 or $10 per person per hour. What I have seen about renting the restaurant is there is a minimum of 30 so if you're close maybe they would make an exception?

@@Evonneda the price sheet I got said colored chair sashes are $3 per chair

I really don't know how you ladies aren't freaking out so good for you! Mine is in July and Connie sent me an email 2 weeks ago saying she would introduce me to the wedding coordinator and haven't heard anything yet and getting frustrated. I have a crap ton on questions that need answered! I was hoping communication would get better but it's not sounding likely

I dont know what the heck is going on with you poor ladies!!! My Wedding is Dec 1, 2015 and I am already in contact with the wedding coordinator! I simply told Connie, I had enough of her, and was ready to be passed along! lol! Follow up/reforward multiple times with your emails! It pays off! ;)

Private dinner option - you can rent out a restaurant for $990 usd, even if you have less than 30 people. The catch is, you have to pay $25 per missing person (i.e. if you only have 20 guests, you have to pay $250 extra to make up the 10 missing people).

@@jsparrow10 I thought the same

Thing about the restaurant however you need 50

People and I am not even close to that!! It's been so frustrating! Apparently I can't have a private dinner with out purchasing the dreams package. I just wish I would have gotten some kind of reply months ago so I had time

To figure things out!! Now I'm planning last minute and losing my mind! I still have not

@@Jlk1004 - You can purchase the $2799 gold package (that package covers up to 20 people) and pay an extra $990 for a private dinner/reception from 6:30 - 10:30pm. Then you pay $25 per missing person, up to the 30 people that is required to rent the restaurant.

50 people is only for the beach.

The gold package also includes the 1 hour cocktail party and 45 minutes of live music (we're using the mariachi band)

@@JennyZ I seriously sent and forwarded so many messages to her with zero reply!! It is so frustrating!! Thank you for that information!! I just don't

Understand why they don't give you this information. I wanted to

Do the beach Buffet even but that is a minimum of 50 people. Literally the only answer I got (finally a week ago) was that I could have a cocktail hr or purchase the dreams package.

@@Jlk1004 - what's your email addy? Let me send you the smaller packages (better when you have less people). I only have 20 guests, so it made sense to purchase the Gold Star Package, then add on the extras I wanted - still wayyyy less than the Dreams package and I get everything that is included in the Dream!

Gold Star includes the flowers, the cake, a couples massage, a romantic dinner for the wedding couple, hair test and hair style for bride, cocktails and appetizers for an hour (cocktail hour on the beach) with live music and so much more. Definitely the way to go!!!

BTW Ladies, here are your choices for the chair sashes. They are $3 each/per chair

@@JennyZ Quit hogging their time JK JK!

@@Jlk1004 Most people do not have 50 people coming so I would double check on that because it seems like there has been a mix up with information. I was under the impression you could rent the restaurant for $990 no matter what. I would just call the resort if I were you since you are so close to your date and get a straight answer! Good luck!

Hi all

I have been in touch with wedding co-ordinator Alejandro and she is excellent. She has confirmed she has all the necessary legal paperwork requirements and all in order.

I'm a bit disappointed with table sizes - they hold maximum of 12. With such small numbers (14) I was hoping for us all to be at same table. Tables are rectangular too - again I was hoping for round tables. I'm being picky!

My bouquet - they are struggling to do purple for me but I'm working on that! I'm going for Star package as we don't want romantic dinner / couple spa etc but we are having the Mariachi Band. The choices of flowers are limited with that package.

Communication has definitely ramped up in final few weeks. To be fair to Connie, the general package information was provided early days when we booked, however it would have been helpful to have more specific pricing for my individual requirements before now.

I'm feeling much more confident now and more relaxed again which is good given our wedding is only a few weeks away! We are also at the hotel for 9 days prior to our ceremony so plenty time to sort out minor details.

Thanks for the info and advice.

Evonne

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
