@@Lindsay30 Thanks so much for the info! The coordinator actually just emailed me back and said it's $350+day passes.

Does anyone have the pricing for reception options? We are deciding between the beach, meeting room, or disco. I know you can do it in the restaurant but we have decided against that. I'm having a hard time getting an idea of how much the reception will cost and trying to figure out our budget. I would greatly appreciate any info so we can decide and check that off the list! Thanks so much!

@@jsparrow10 - I decided against the beach (without knowing prices) due to the sand fleas at night. Unfortunately I do not know how much the meeting room or disco is, as I chose to rent out the entire restaurant to do the private dinner and reception for $990 USD.

Have you emailed Connie to ask her the rates???

I may have missed it but does anyone know the current outside photographer fee? Also are the white covered chairs included in the package? How much is it per chair to use the chiavari? TIA!

@jsparrow10  - Outside vendor fee for photographer is $350 plus the day pass of $60 per person. White coverings for the chairs are included in the packages. To rent the Tiffany chairs, is $10/chair.

@@jsparrow10 - Unfortunately, this is where you have to get a bit firm. I have been able to gather all the information simply by being very forward that, if they want my money, they NEED to provide their costs!

If I may suggest? Make each of your questions numbered in your emails.

Example:

1. Please provide reception locations and costs

2. Send a la carte menu for extra things that can be ordered

etc. etc.

Leave a space in-between for her to enter her answers. This is what I found most helpful for getting replies.

Also, RESEND your previous emails and change the subject line to **SECOND REQUEST** (or however many tries you have made). I also made her very aware, that I am needing to finalize my budget, so her replies are urgent in doing so.

I just had to do the same (again) this morning, trying to find out what is included equipment wise, with the resort DJ for the reception. I have a guest who is a professional DJ, so we're trying to find out, if the speakers, lights, etc. are there and then I can use my own guy - This was after being quoted $876 to rent just the equipment from their outside supplier! lol! I sent her the message on Monday, and resent it again this morning. Every email I just add how many times I have requested the same information and make it in caps and *****'s! She can only ignore you for so long ;)

Give er a go!!!! ;)

Thanks! I just want to frickin know how much we need to expect for the reception. We think we are going to go with the meeting room but not sure since we have no clue how much that will be. It's been since Nov 12th since I've gotten a response and even resent an email. I'm trying really hard to be patient but almost a month is pretty ridiculous!

I just had to resend my message for the third time yesterday. Been sending them every week now, so something must be up? I totally understand your frustration. I'm trying to get vendors into place and cant do so, without pricing. I'm pretty sure the cost to do a private reception is $ 990USD so hopefully that gives you an idea until you hear back!

Hi all!! My wedding is quickly approaching (April 27) and Connie has been very little help! All we have received is a generic list of prices and such. This lead to more confusion for me! I am just wondering if any one knows the options for a smaller group for the reception. We have had some people drop out and are down to around 22-25. Thanks for any help in advance!

Hi @Mention.

We leave scotland on 2nd May and our Wedding is on the 11th May. I had sent all my information to Connie but was never getting any responses to my emails! I sent an urgent email on Monday requesting a response and Connie has replied early hours today to say she will be working on my file today and passing my details to Wedding Co-ordinater.

With 4 weeks to go, I have no idea how much the wedding will cost, I have no confirmation the photographer, judge or mariachi band is booked or on a smaller matter if tables for Dinner are round or square.

However, I take great comfort that these guys do this every day and I have never heard a bad report regarding anyone's wedding so I'm going with the flow on this

Our wedding party is only 15 with a family of four staying out with the hotel. I'm hoping the actual wedding co-ordinator will ramp up communication now. It's the price that worries me the most. I've asked for extras in relation to coloured sashes for the chairs, cocktail party etc etc. and would really like confirmation of what that costs.

I would certainly send an Urgent email to Connie now - I'd imagine you should be dealing with the actual co-ordinator now given your wedding is a couple of weeks before mine?

I bet you are now very excited - not long to go!!

I finally did get an email back! I am quite disappointed however. I was really hoping to have some type of private dinner. However the only way to do tbay is have 50 people or purchase the dreams package which is way out of my budget! It's so frustrating to find this out less then a month away!!! We are thinking we will do the cocktail hr after for a couple hrs but I have no idea what that looks like. When we were in Cozumel last year we met a singer that we wanted to come perform

At our wedding. He is way cheaper then what they would charge. But since we have to wait till we are down there to figure things out I'm assuming we will be stuck using whatever they have available! Same goes for decor. I was hoping to bring some of my own things, but since were cutting it so close now it's very unlikely!! I felt how you do, that this is their job and it should he fine. However, as we get closer, my stress level is just increasing with not knowing!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
