Hi Iberostar Ladies!  I love the central location of the Playacar Iberostars.  It gives you so much flexibility when you are so close to town and both are gorgeous resorts.  Here are the recent weddings Lori has shot at the two locations!

Iberostar Tucan - Shinoosh & Mark

Hi I am a new Iberostar Tucan bride. Getting married December 2013. Ive been in contact with Connie just waiting on airline prices to come out then putting our deposit down. We have 50 -75 guests attending so we went with the free package due to meeting the 60 nights between all of our guests. We were planning on renting the restaurant for $800 for the 4 hours. Trace - do you know how much more it is to rent the convention center and how long do can you rent it for? Also ive seen a few pictures of setups on the beach with colored fabric coming off of the canopy. Does anyone know if the resort provides that for an extra cost or if those were rented from an outside company? Thanks for any help!!!

We had 35 people that came with us and everyone had a blast.  It was great to get together as one big group.  The resort was perfect for our needs.  I am definitely happy we chose this place.  My only complaint was the hair stylist (expensive at the spa, I ended up having to have my cousin fix my hair, and there was a language barrier we couldn't break).  The Mariachi were a huge hit.  That wedding coordinator works her butt off--there was a wedding everyday but one while we were down there and they were all different.  I have to post a more in depth review in the correct section but that's a little tidbit.  I'd be happy to answer any questions though!

Hi Amanda, I had an idea that I wanted those colors before we went down. In one of my emails with Alejandra I told her what colors I'd like and she matched them with what they had at the resort...no outside company. My package included all white decoration but we paid extra to have some color and it was well worth it. It was $50 for the color canopy and $2 per colored sash for the chairs.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
