It's NOT OK to RSVP via facebook!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so I'm a FB addict and I even think that is a little crass.

I definately would never RSVP in FB unless the invite was sent that way, then obviously that makes sense (I'm talking showers, not weddings! OMG could you imagine an FB wedding invite?! LMAO)

When Chris and I move we've already decided we aren't having a home phone, we are never home anyway, so it just doesn't make sense. Plus if people do call the house we never answer it anyway! HA! Voice mail baby, that's where it's at!

I remember the days before call display when I was a kid, no one ever answered the phone at dinner, it was not allowed!!

Holy crap, Maura. That is just completely unacceptable. rant.gif

I was really peeved when I found out that one of my good friends had gotten engaged because I saw her change in status on FB. pokestick.gif

People suck. Technology sucks.

Funny thing is that we're all ranting about how we never check FB or email or Myspace and.... it's BECAUSE WE'RE ALL ON BDW!!! smile120.gif Hee hee!

OH and another thing that got me that you said was that you've submitted some of the RSVPs yourself. Isn't that depressing? I've done the same to my ONLINE RSVPs. How sad is that? People can't even click a %&*$&'n button!

Blah. Sometimes I think that we are all a little S&M.gif planning weddings... KWIM?

I did get some rsvps via myspace, in part because it was some of Chris' family who I don't really chat with on the phone. It's a pretty tricky thing but I agree that many things warrant a phone call.
Absolutely agree with Stephanie here.

That is why we don't even have a cell phone!

Seriously though WTF? People don't get it that it takes time to do all of this work and to do something like that is SO RUDE! I can only hope that these people have kids and when they decide to get married that people do the same thing to them so they know what it feels like!

there's definitely a time and a place for FB but RSVPing for a wedding, shower or other formal event is NOT one of them!!!

Here's a fun one... a friend of a friend sent their wedding invites out through FB as a FB event!!! Can you believe that?!? Mind you, their wedding was held in the back 40 with a motorhome as the "bathroom" and storage space for the beer... I think the bride and groom slept in it too on their wedding night...

good times, lol!

I am so anti-technology because I hate how lazy it has made people.

What amazes me about RSVPs is that I always respond before the deadline. I'm not just expecting people to do this for my wedding, I always expect this. I respond on time for their precious events, so they should do the same for mine.

I haven't even gotten to this stage yet, but I'm already pumped up about it.

I can't agree more. I can't stand when people don't have the decency to RSVP!

This goes for anything,

dinner parties,

cocktail parties,

showers,

weddings,

business meetings

How is one to plan, if one does not know how many will be in attendancehuh.gifhuh.gifhuh.gifhuh.gif??

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
