I know this thread can go on the Wedding Attire section as well, but I figured I would place it here since it has to do with TTD pics. Let me know if it should be moved!!!

I had a question for brides planning or that had already done TTD pics. I noticed a few brides actually duplicate their hair style and makeup from the day of the wedding to take TTD pics. I was debating on whether doing the same since my hair will be up for the wedding, but I don't want to spend the $$ on getting it done again just to get it wet. I do like the look of it though because it looks like you literally just got married and then decided to frolic around in the sand and ocean.

I also think a more natural look (meaning less makeup and hair down) would look great because then the only really dramatic part of the TTD pic would be the wedding dress. So, I'm torn between what look I want to have!

I was just wondering what most of you are doing or already did for your TTD pics!?!

I was wondering about that, too! I would probably try to do the same and sleep with my updo, but I'm not taking my TTD pics until two days after! I don't think my hair would be pretty by then!

I honestly just threw my hair in a bun at the side and did not wear any makeup. I didn't want to worry about my makeup in the ocean with the sand and salt. It took me 2 minutes to get ready I just put my dress on over my bathing suit, big mistake my suit was black and when wet my dress was see through, lol. It was such a lighthearted fun shoot from beginning to end:)

i put on regular makeup, figuring that if i wanted it any different, dh could photoshop it. i put my hair in a bun, but it kept falling out into a ponytail, which looked REALLY dumb under the veil, but most of the pics were so far away, or not of our faces, so you couldn't tell.

Very good question. At this time, I don't plan on wearing my hair up though so I don't think I will have an issue unless I change my mind! I don't like people in my head. I usually cut it myself and maybe once a year go to Regis and have them cut it. As far as makeup, I only wear mascara and chapstick. I will have it done on wedding day, but plan to do my usual for the TTD. I'm definitely interested in what others responses will be to this question!

I actually don't wear makeup... so I can't remember what i did as far as that. I might have put on waterproof mascara... but I think that's it.

As far as my hair: I had a curly up do for the wedding. I had fully intended on leaving it up to sleep in. YUP, that HURT! So i took it down. However when I woke up in the morning it was still curly!!!! So, I simply pulled all the curls to the side and did a side pony (think Carrie Underwood) and put my hair flower in it. I loved it, it looked kind of fancy yet relaxed. I didn't want to pay $75 to get my hair wet :)

If you are doing it two days after, then this probably won't work. But maybe you can simply put smaller curls into your hair and style it yourself?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
