Decorating question... *updated with pics*

I'm almost done redoing our masterbedroom, and I'm curious, what do you have hanging above your bed in your bedroom? I can't decide what I want to hang, I was thinking about a monogram but DH hates the idea.

What about an enlarged and nicely framed wedding portrait? Or a series of 3? You have great photos.

We had those adhesive words in a collage (dream, love, kiss, etc.) but I recently took them down as I am awaiting the shipment of the enlarged wedding prints I ordered in Sepia. I think it will look nice.

We have a framed Ansel Adams picture. But what about some of those metal wall art things. They can come in threes where middle is bigger and flanked by two smaller ones. Or we have one in the bathroom by the tub that is a circle and holds tea lights.

I was thinking about a wedding picture, but do you think it's too vein? Also I did my room in brown and blue, so I'm still trying to decide if I want color photos or B & W for other parts of the room?

I love the monogram idea. I have thought about doing that in our room whenever we decide to start painting and decorating. Right now we have a really huge mirror with a gorgeous frame. Our bed is a king though so we needed something a little bigger to match up.

if your room is brown and blue, a sepia toned picture would look amazing! you could do a series of pictures in dark brown frames, with white matting that have a touch of blue on the edge of the matting, with sepia toned wedding photos...

that would be STELLAR!

Hell no it's not vain, it's your private bedroom after all...it's not like you host cocktail hour in there when you have company...lol

I wouldn't use a portrait style picture, but a more lovey-dovey one since it's over your bed, you know? Like a kiss, or embrace, or something sensual. If your room is brown and blue I'd say sepia-toned would be nice.

Hmmm, if I have a Queen size bed, what size frame & pictures do you think would look best? I think if I do a picture/s above our bed I would want either one large one or 3.

Great questions Tammy! I too need to get something up on the giant expanse of wall above our bed...well, I actually need to decorate the whole room...

Anyway, I love the idea of sepia tone wedding pics with your color scheme - I think it would be lovely. And I agree w/Jamy that it is totally not vain, it's your boudoir! You can do whatever you want. I also agree that you've got some great shots to pic from.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
