TA is bugging me

Hello

TA said that it is not routine to confirm wedding with Ocean blue until 12months before. They will then confirm the wedding date and send details such as wedding package / options etc. On booking we were told it would take 7 days to confirm - then 14 days - one month later we told it still not going to be confirmed for at least another 2 months!

rant.gif want to plan!

They still haven't guaranteed that I will have my wedding then! All they seem to want to do is get the money!

I booked my wedding with the WC of Ocean Blue directly once I booked my holiday and knew what day I wanted.

Because I had contacted her so far in advance I was the first in line to choose the time when it came time for her to book with the officiant. Turned out we went with a symbolic anyway, so we had our first choice in time. The other wedding that day had to work around my schedule.

This is how I did it too, I contacted the WC direct, we booked the holiday online so we don't have a travel agent, then I got in contact with WC myself to see if they had about 3 dates free, that I was considering and then just had the 10th July confirmed. I did this last August 07, for the wedding in July 08. I would try contacting direct.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
