Welcome to the forum.. I'm also getting married in Maui but I have a local wedding planner who has a team over there so I doubt I'll be much help in that department. I'd be happy to answer any questions though! :)

maui_dec_08......WELCOME!!!! I am getting married in October 08 at the Ritz Carlton in Kapalua, Maui. I am actually using the wedding coordinator at the Ritz Carlton and she (Dina Hill) has been great. They have lots of packages that also include honeymoon stay as well. Dina's email address in dina.hill@ritzcarlton.com. Let her know that Mrs. Lyons referred you to her.

ALSO.....check out the Maui forum. The ladies there are great with providing information.

Anna - I'm interested in what you think about those planners, I've viewed both their websites but wasn't ready to talk to them at this point. Lori's husband sings and has a beautiful voice but we didn't want a, we're considering a guitarist or a harpist - would seem like a waste for him to just play guitar and not sing.

We're getting married at the Seawatch in Wailea, Maui. So are alot of people on the Maui thread.

HI! Also getting married in Maui in Dec '08! (not until the 30th though). Our WC is Laurie & Al from Makena Weddings. They have been wonderful so far- very prompt with replies to emails and spoke with my on the phone for a good 1/2 hour when we first hired her to get a sense of what we wanted. Al is the minister and Laurie does most of the coordination. I received the recommendation from a friend who had their wedding planned by them and I got to see all the pictures, DVD, etc. It was great.

And we're also getting married at the Seawatch.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
