I wore a veil, tiarra and a flower. I loved my veil, I tucked it under my hair at the back and it made me feel very bridal. I originally was niot going to wear one but I fell in love with this one and had to have it.
Thanks Kelly!

And yours looked PERFECT! It's hard to pull off all three -- tira, flower and veil -- but you did it beautifully!!!

Carly -- I simply cannot wait to see your DIY veil! I considered it but I am ssoo not that DIY inclined!!! I know yours is going to be gorgeous -- it sounds like it is already!!!

I never imagined myself wearing a veil, but I'm definately leaning towards it after trying some on with my dress. My dress is pretty simple and not poufy at all, so I'm going to get a simple veil, to not overpower the dress. I'm going to have my hair in a bun of some sort with a flower, but I'm not sure whether to position the veil over top the bun or underneath it. I'll just have to play around and see I guess.

birdcage veils, flowers, or feathers are so beautiful, unique and edgy to mix things up, and veils are always fun, long ones are great for pics, either way, you usually kiss it goodbye after the ceremony! :)

I wore a fingertip length veil for my wedding, but in retrospect, I almost wish I hadn't. It was an extremely windy day, and the wind was blowing towards my DH during the ceremony... meaning almost all of my wedding pics have my face covered by the veil! I should have thought of it on the wedding day, but didn't. I loved the veil, and it looked very cool in some of the pics, but thought I'd pass my experience on :)

Seriously, I want to wear flowers too. I like your idea Ann ...Thanks.
I am with you!! I am wearing a veil and a flower. My dress is kind of plain though. I didn't have that "AHA" moment until I put the veil on. Then when I put the flower behind my ear when I looked in the mirror I was that beautiful Mexican bride I always envisioned as a little girl.

Even my BM and MOH were wowed. Another thing - when in your ENTIRE life can you get away with wearing a veil? I am wearing mine all night! That moment will never come again! You are only a first time bride once!

I am going to wear a veil, because when I was trying dresses on, I never felt like a real bride...until I put a veil on! I already told my sister though, "If that thing is blowing in my face...I am tearing it out and handing it to you!" I'll put it back in for pictures later...but I don't want it ruining ceremony pics!

I am wearing a veil for 2 reasons. I love those pics on the beach with the couple and the wind is blowing the veil back(or someone's hand holding the veil back)and also the ones were both bride and groom are under veil.

I am also honoring my FI jewish traditions of the veil covering the brides face at the beg. of ceremony. My FMIL was kind enough to buy my expensive veil (both back piece and front piece) and my beautiful vintage inspired jewel comb. I am going to wear it as my "something new".

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
