Your situation isnt to unusual. We recently shot a reception after the couple came back from getting married on a cruise. All the bridal party and the B&G got dressed and we shot it just like it was the prelude to the wedding itself. They left from the house in vintage limo and went to the reception just as if they had just been married. They did all the normal things including the garter/bouquet and exit. It was fun and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. Just relax and have fun.

Welcome! It is common for parents to not be thrilled and also to have AHR too!
