Bridal Shop Recos in Northern VA

So I found my wedding dress while visiting in CT and unfortunately I can't find it anywhere locally in VA. Several shops say they carry my designer, but not my specific style. They're all willing to order it for me, though, so now I just need to decide which bridal shop to go with. I want somewhere I can trust to do the alternations, but doesn't feel so posh that I feel like a grubber walking in in jeans and t-shirt for my fittings.

 

So...any bridal shop suggestions in Northern VA? TIA!!!

I had the same thing happen to me... I found a dress in Charleston Wedding magazine and I wanted to try it on so I called the bridal shop in the magazine and got the style number and designer and then called a million (well not really...ahaha) bridal salons and NO ONE had the dress, they carried the designer but not that dress as a sample. I ended up going with another dress, but I did however buy it at a posh upscale bridal salon. And to be honest it was worth the extra couple bucks for the service and the attention that I received. You can walk into any where and get service with tee shirt and jeans as long as your head is held high and you make yourself look important....lol!

 

On the other hand... I can't say that I know of any good bridal salons in your area....sorry. But best wishes... I'm sure you'll make out great!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
