1st "official" rain - June 6th, 2008

This is just for you summer brides (this year or next), curious about the weather. We had our first "downpour" of the season which started yesterday around 7ish p.m. and continued on until early a.m.ish. Right now the sky is very very cloudy and we all expect it to rain again sometime this pmish .

Really!!! my wedding is in 3 weeks in PV but I dont mind the rain it wont stop me from doing what i have planned =-)

Hi you . Well, I'm not entirely sure. I checked my diary last year and the only thing I noted was that as of May 31st, 2007 it hadn't rained but that we had a wedding June 10th, 2007 and it DID rain. My guess is we're a little earlier this year than last year or I think I would have noted it down. .

After consulting the almanac for the last few years of weather in PV, I've given up on my favorite month of June. And I'm back to a May wedding date. I figure if it's going to rain in June, then I might as well stay and have my wedding in Seattle.

 

So my date are May 16 or May 23rd/24th. The weekend of the 23rd is Memorial Day, so I could have a Sunday wedding and have everyone fly home on Monday.

If it makes you feel better re: your decision it's raining right now as I type and has been raining all day long .

One note about May (just fyi), it's THE BUSIEST wedding month here in PV, so if you're uber picky about where you're getting married and who's coordinating you, you're going to want to hop to it and get that all settled. Any other month (except maybe October - another busy one for some reason) I wouldn't say anything. And, of course, the weekend that gets booked the fastest is Memorial Day weekend. :)
