opinion on flower ordering

Recommended Posts

I don't know how important it is for me to reserve flowers for my wedding. My SIL is an excellent florist and will be arranging them. We are doing drowned cymbidium orchids for the 5 tables at the reception. Then it is just my bouquet, my MOH, and my SIL's bouquets, and a few corsages. We are looking at orchids and roses. I am very flexible and can change flower combos depending upon what is available. Should I pre-order or just get what's available when I get to Cabo next month? I know orchids are pricey but are they hard to come by? I was thinking of going to Pamela Floreria (I think that's what it is called). I kinda just want to show up and go with what is in season when I arrive. Previous Cabo brides, is this a bad decision?

Also, I just read that posting on PV and the summer rain. Is it likely to rain in Cabo for my July wedding?

Thank you!

I'd strongly recommend to pre-order them beforehand, if you get what's available they may not be as fresh. If you pre-order them they will get them specially for you based on the date you need them for. Rain... not really, the critical months are August and September, July has slim chances of rain. Visit weather.com they have previous year's averages.

Order them in advance. You never know what will happen, what if you are left with no flowers? You don't want to have to worry about anything on your wedding day. We had a bride a few weeks ago that had her mother doing the flowers. She ended up with silk because they couldn't find what they wanted/enough the weekend of the wedding, and that was in their own city.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
