That is just so sad, I feel bad for your parents. I would definitely bring it up to your brother.

I feel so bad for your folks. I don't have a baby, but several of my friends do. They called us the minute the baby was born and we went up there and held them with no problems from the new mom. I'm so sorry your family is having to deal with this.

We've already told friends/family that we don't want visitors at home for the first day or two.. it's really overwhelming but my mom will be staying with us so she'll be there. I'm ok with hospital visits but it is irritating to have people around all the time. Matt and I wanted a private courthouse wedding (before Cabo) and his mom insisted on being there and instead of a romantic dinner afterwards we went to eat with her. It was irritating (even though I know it was important to her). Maybe your SIL doesn't feel the same way about your parents as they feel about her?

Your SIL was extremely rude to say that to your parents and if she didn't want visitors, that should mean all visitors. Sounds like she has something against them. Your brother should be the one to explain.

I hope it doesn't hurt their relationship in the future.

FYI: My DH's mom is extremely opinionated and outspoken... it's a bit much for anyone to handle the criticism sometimes.

Wow I'm sorry but your sil is being very rude! Your mother is amazing for putting up with everything. I think your brother needs to step up and say something also.

However I was soooo paranoid about people holding her....I watched them like hawks. I wanted to make sure they didnt allow baby bobble head! I hate it when people dont hold their necks. Their head will bobble and it scares me!

I completely agree with the above comment. She almost sounds annoyed at your parents and she's singling them out. I think there is something more to it and your brother needs to step foward and explain. It's not fair for him to let his own parents be treated this way.

I am so sorry. I haven't had kids yet and I understand a need for privacy but she sounds like a nut job. I hope she pulls the stick out of her a** and comes to her senses for your parents and the baby's sake.

wow Danielle, I cannot believe how she treated your parents. So rude and inconsiderate. If she doesn't want visitors, then her family needs to get out of the room as well. It's amazing how her true colors came out...
